IU will play one of the lead roles in "Perfect Crown" / "The 21st Century Crown Prince's Wife", an upcoming South Korean television drama series, which is based on a fictional modern world where Korea is ruled by a constitutional monarchy.
IU will play "Sung Hee-Joo", a fictional character who is frustrated about being a commoner, although Sung's father leads a major conglomerate in the story. The lead actor (who plays "Prince Yi-Ahn") is Beom Woo-Seok. The series, which is currently being filmed, is planned to premier in the first half of 2026.
