I've had it! Finding patent jodhpurs - with straps.

My parents used to have a matching pair of jodhpurs during the late 80s and a couple of months ago I found myself missing the old boots quite a lot. Problem is that noone seems to make them anymore, and neither of the old boots fit me.

This is the closest I've match I've found so far, but the model is too wide for my anorectic feet. I've been scourging Ebay and Google for ages without finding anything (tried searching for chelsea boots, jodphurs, jodhpurs, riding boots, you name it), so now I've decided to jump out of lurking hoping that someone here knows. Please?

My last option is to have someone custom make a pair for me, but my private economy is already trying to divorce me as it is...

I thought you meant riding boots which I love. It turns out riding boots have to be made bespoke and I dont want to spend 500...HOLD ON...Maybe Ill get some in Patent leather...Oooooo...I dont know now, maybe I can get a discount, Ill wear my discount jeans...

I probably meant riding boots, as I'm still not quite sure about their name, I just know what they look like.

trendoid - I owe you one, wonderful links. Only problem is that I'm a female with size 6 feetlings. Should probably have mentioned this in my initial post.

On a more positive note I did find an old pair at my mother-in-law's though, only problem is that she's a size 5. Think it's worth sacrificing a coupla' toes in order to wear a pair of great boots?

riding equipment is known as 'tack'...

but there are many designer versions this season...
you could even check laredoute.com

the straps may be more difficult to find...
but you could get creative and add those yourself if you are really insistent upon them...
