With the fur I see editorial and the gowns to me are really red carpet, I love the collection all in all.

More thought should have been put into the design of the fur, seeing as J.Mendel is a fur house and an approaching winter is, naturally, the season for fur.
One or two nice dresses though, I especially enjoy the frailty of this number.

really lovely work they've done on so many of these pieces!

the review from style.com
Believe it or not, it's a menswear moment at J. Mendel. "It's the sensibility of Spring, but with more tailoring," Gilles Mendel said at his showroom. Translation: weightless, floor-sweeping dresses topped with structured outerwear, as if the girls had borrowed their escorts' coats at the end of a chilly evening. Thanks to a liberal hand with the furs, the men's staples took on a feminine grace; in fact, they were the collection's strongest note. Wool-cashmere overcoats in black and camel were lent texture by curly-lamb linings and sleeves. Another topper ended in striated layers of lamb and raccoon.

Mendel's signature delicate dresses—here in hand-pleated mousseline, chiffon, and organza; sometimes asymmetrical; and tending in the direction of the long silhouette he introduced last season—didn't feel as fresh by comparison. Still, they had a balletic loveliness; Mendel has worked with the New York City Ballet, after all. The most interesting were raw-edged, a little dégradé: a ballerina unraveling. Wonder if someone's seen Black Swan.

Wait, he's just showing his Spring collection?

I actually kind like it. It's more edgy than a typical J.Mendel fare but still really pretty.

Nope, it's pre-fall even on the site

I've seen resort written as summer sometimes, and pre-fall as winter.. Anyway spring is wrong I think:ermm:

Other than the two or so ankle length dresses which are not to my taste, this gets a solid thumbs up from me, I particularly like the draping and texture mixing. I was just looking at the Burberry collection and this looks like a much better version of that collection, not that I am accusing either party of appropriating the other - just similar aesthetics, although that last dress does look like the Versace that was worn to the Oscars(?) a year or two ago.

i swoon over those furs. i love how they're very gladiator a la prada fall 2009

I noticed him at S/S 2010 season and every his works is going better and better. I absolutely love it, especially some dresses are so amazing.

The fur pieces are gorgeous!) Love the whole collection, may be except 2 or 3 dresses.

I'm predicting this will be a hit on the red carpet, some lovely and flattering dresses there.

God I love it too... especially the fur pieces... just fit with the dresses sooo well and look super classy and luxurious!
