Jeweler to rap stars and other high-wattage celebrities Yakov Arabo, also known as Jacob the Jeweler, was arrested this morning, 3/13/09, on federal charges including laundering more than $270 million in U.S currency. He is also charged with giving and lending jewelry to members of the "Black Mafia Family," a drug organization. Some of his clients include Sir Elton John and rapper Lil' Kim.
