Meet The Model: Jade @ Unique Shot By Harriet Were
New Zealand model Jade is definitely an unofficial member of the ever-growing Kiwi babes club. That other Kiwi babe, photographer Harriet Were shot her for Oyster recently in Auckland and just look at her — with her cute face and inability to play sports without injuring herself and/or others. Of course we asked her to fill out our Meet The Model Q&A!

Nickname: I have been called Jadels in the past.

Where are you from and where are you currently living?
I'm originally from New Zealand, although I lived in Scotland for most of my childhood. Currently back in New Zealand, residing in the North Shore of Auckland.

What were you into in high school?
I was a nerd in high school, I loved to study, but also loved to hang out with friends. I also spent a lot of high school watching way to many re-runs of TV shows, I don't think there is one hit drama show that I haven't watched.

In what ways have you changed since then?
Still a nerd at University.

What did you do for your last birthday?
Spent the day with my best friend Courtenay.

If you could choose to stay a certain age forever what would it be?
This is a hard one; I'm quite enjoying life right now to be fair. So I would say 19.

If you could have any animal as a pet, what would you choose?
I would love a pet dog. Growing up we never had any pets and I am always nagging my parents to buy a dog. Maybe this Christmas will be the year!

What scares you most?
Movies about the paranormal, I still have nightmares from The Conjuring.

Best piece of advice you ever received?
Don't take life too seriously; everything seems that little bit more scary and dramatic when you do.

What is a skill you wish you possessed?
To play any sport, my younger sister seems to have received all of the sporty genes in our family. I wish I could have learnt how to pass a ball without injuring others or myself.

What fictional character do you most relate to, and why?
This is also a hard one, I'm not too sure I relate to her much, but I love Blair Waldorf from Gossip Girl (currently watching re-runs as I type).

What celebrity do you have a crush on?
Edward Streten, aka Flume.

Best YouTube clip you've ever seen?
When Daniel Radcliff raps Blackalicious — 'Alphabet Aerobics'.

Which three people (dead or alive) would be your dream party guests?
Justin Timberlake (childhood crush), Steve Carrel, Lorde.

Do you prefer crowds, small groups or being alone?
I love being in a small group with close friends and my boyfriend.

What's in rotation on your iPod at the moment?
George FM's Chillsville CD.

What do you want to be when you grow up?
I would love to either be a full time model or a journalist.

Will you send us a selfie?
First time to Australia, had to do the touristy thing!
