Jalouse April 2014 : Thylane Blondeau

It's really beautiful and I had no idea how old she is, but I actually think she might be a bit too young for this.

Well, there's the hashtag #bornin2001 and I checked, she'll be 13 next month ... So I agree, she's a bit young for this.

Dear gawd she's stunning. She looks her age imho, plus she's not very much makeup. I don't have a problem with young models, as long as what they portray is age appropriate.

ETA--If they mean she looks like Kate Moss? Sorry, Kate was never/is not that gorgeous.

I agree she looks really great, but she is a bit too young. I hope she is well supported by her family and her agency is taking care of her correctly.

yeah way too young, but for some reason I thought she was at least 16 by now  shes going to blow up when she is legal to work normally

I didn't realize she was the model from the controversial Vogue Paris editorial until I read it in the Forum Buzz post on the homepage. She undeniably looks pretty here, and it's nice to see that she didn't completely disappear after that VP story. I also hope her family and her agency are managing her well, because she has tons of potential and if she's really into it, I can see her going far.

I consider Jalouse a teen magazine so I think there is nothing wrong with her being on the cover. No different than the Fanning girls or Chloë Moretz gracing teen magazine covers when they were super young.

I look forward to seeing/reading the cover story.

Thylane looks breathtakingly beautiful. I am slightly concerned considering how young she is. That said, she's positively gorgeous and I hope her agency and family are taking good care of her.

I didn't realize she was the same young girl from the controversy either. Her face has matured and she's even more beautiful. One can only hope her parents have a firm hand in her career.

^Threads for models younger than 14 aren't allowed on tFS :flower:

why is she on the cover of a magazine..i just find this weird

Jalouse has a history of doing things like this, don't they? They may be a magazine directed toward a slightly younger audience but this strikes me as weirdly inappropriate like so many other things I've seen them do. I remember a swim editorial with a thirteen year old Jac that thoroughly disturbed me when I found out the age of the model.

Normally as long as a model is being presented for the age she is and in an appropriate manner I don't get all up on my high horse about this issue, but this made me roll my eyes as soon as I saw it. The hashtag with her date of birth seems like a ploy, "look how edgy we are, look how young, how fresh". Thylane probably has an incredible career in front of her, but she doesn't need to build it on being fashion's next Lolita.
