James Franco

^you stole the words from my mouth!! i really only watch the red carpet and from time to time will change the channel to the show to see who's wearing what.

i think having james host the show will draw in a younger audience then in the past. if they keep going the rout of having young popular actors host for the oscars i might tune in more often. well maybe not, it depends on who's hosting. like i wouldn't watch zack effron or edward cullen

James Franco-----thought i should start a thread for this wonderful actor. He's really talented,,, and very underrated. .... Most people know him as Harry Osborne in Spiderman 1, 2.. and the upcoming spiderman3........ But in most of the movies he's been in ,he plays characters with moral and personal problems... He was also cast as James Dean in the TNT movie few years ago. He won a golden globe for that performance. Really should watch that movie. He looks like James Dean..and even now there are times i think he looks like him... And if anyone can remember way back , he was the "bad boy " in a show called FREAKS and GEEKS. And in the movie City by The Sea (2002) , Robert Dinero personally had him cast, after viewing his performance in James Dean (2001) . He was also iin a movie called Sonny , directed by Nicolas Cage. And early this year he was in the movie Annapolis and also in Tristan and Isolde. So far i have loved all his films because he can act... He hasn't really been noticed in Hollywood , but i'm wishing he does good work and not fall into the overhyped non talented hollywood actors that are out there now

And oh yeah..... Did i mention he is also a very good looking:heart: :woot:

Seriously this guy is my biggest actor crush...
I think he's not your average actor celebrity, I see him more of an artist. He's so interesting, plays so many kinds of different characters and touches different kind of arts.
I asked for the book he wrote, I'm curious to see what it's like. I also read he's going to do his first solo exhibit in Berlin from February to April. The previews are beautiful!
Not to mention the number of short movies he's made.... Has anyone ever seen them? :)

Here it is! :)
James FRANCO
The Dangerous Book Four Boys
Peres Projects Mitte
Grosse Hamburger Strasse 17, 10115 Berlin
February 11th – April 23rd, 2011
Opening February 11th 7 – 10pm

Javier Peres is pleased to present The Dangerous Book Four Boys, the first European solo exhibition of James Franco exploring issues stemming from adolescence while acknowledging the contributions of influential artists and filmmakers such as Paul McCarthy and Kenneth Anger. The exhibition brings
together short films, drawings, photographs, ephemera, sculptures and installations where we see Franco draw upon childhood experiences including notions of identity, masculinity, sexuality and other essential life experiences and culminates in presenting a rejection of normative parenthood and suggesting alternative paradigms for parental relations.

This exhibition was previously presented at the Clocktower Gallery, NYC, and we are thankful to curator Alanna Heiss and to Kunst-Werke, Institute for Contemporary Art for their support.

Opening hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 11am – 6pm and by appointment. For further information or reproductions please contact Margherita Belaief at +49 30 6162 6962, or [email protected] or Javier Peres at [email protected]
