Tyra had him on her chat show the other day and he was saying that everyone thinks he's short as he's always stood next top Tyra - who is 6.2 + her heels and Miss Jay who is about 6.4. So they measured him and he was actually over 6ft.

From wikipedia, it says that his backgrounds are indian and african american... while HE was born in Canada...
