Hey! I have some pretty short legs... I know that low rise is a no no.. but where do I find some not so low rise jeans that are good for a 17 year old!? I would definately prefer under 100 but you may suggest any brand .. maybe I can find 7 or chip and pepper stuff like that on ebay!

also.. My legs are big but almost all muscle!I wear a size 2-4 and have no hips... My mid thighs look more like hips than the hip area does...

:flower:

I really like Cimarron jeans. I'm 5'2 and they really flatter my legs. The ones I have are pretty low-rise though, but they do have ones that sit higher up on the hips  They really are worth checking out, they are my favorite brand of jeans yet :flower:

I'm only 5'1 and most of the time i have to get my jeans hemmed. I like Mavis or Levis because they provide you with a selection of inseams. Sevens are way too long for me though. I also find Hudsons to be decent in length. They are also super comfy. I heart mine!

mavi jeans are good.
i was just about to say that..you can pick out what inseam lenght you need and they have great stretch, plus they r enxpensive, i have a pair that were just about 90$ :flower:

I'm actually 5'8 but my best friend is way shorter (5'3), and I know from experience that Blue Cult and Diesel Jeans come up short -in Diesel just get a 30/32 inch length. If you want something cheaper and live in England, Topshop really fits my best friend well, and they do petite versions. If you live in America, Express jeans do sizes to fit more petite people. But try Blue Cult since they are so flattering! :P

Mavi makes their jeans super short. I have a pair that are supposed to be 34" inseam but they barely fit me and I normally take a 33". Gap also makes their jeans really short. It pisses me off because I always have to get the long length kind.

I am 5'2 and I buy some of my more affordable denims from Levis, Gap, Express and on the rare occasion Banana Republic. They come in a vareity of lengths which work out for me. I tend to stay away from cuffs, any detailing on the bottom, light or acid wash tinted jeans, and extreme flares.

i do like SOME of american eagles jeans, and they make them in petite sizing.
i find most dont fit me well in the hip/bum area. and tend to make me look rather large there when im not. so i prefer to actually buy the regular size and hem them, for some reason they look better that way then to buy them off the rack petite.

i am 5'1 as well.

mavi does have good jeans in small lengths, but i agree i find the length shrinks over time. and then they dont fit whatsoever.

As a guy, i find I have to get Jeans that are longer.
I could get the smaller waist size but do you know how much pain there is wearing them. They really aren't generous with the crotch.

personally...i like old navy for basic jeans...same quality as gap but cheaper...and i hear good things about h&m...but since all the models wear them...maybe they run long...

otherwise...i usually cut off my jeans or have them hemmed at the dry cleaner... :flower:

If there were such a man as H&M Ford his maxim would be:

'You can have jeans in any cut you want...as long as it's flared, low-rise, 5-pocket, blue denim'

Which is why H&M jeans bore me. Also very few women ever seem to find jeans that make their bum look good - so bear that in mind...

Exactly! I hate H&M pants, includong jeans. The fit is just ugly and unflattering, I think. Their tops are great, although sometimes a bit short for me (as I'm 5'6" with a long torso and fairly short legs  ).

What do all of the short-legged women out here think of capris? Yes? No? Specific styles? I'm not a fan of shorts and I was wondering about other options.

Why doesn't anyone ever answer when I ask about capris? I asked somewhere else without a response, too. Do people just not like them? I'm just wondering what people think of them as an alternative to shorts.

Hm...I have long legs, so i don't have a good idea even i would like to help you. :(
As i saw it's not a good choice for short legs. Sorry, that's all what i know.

Just realised I have long legs
I just wear my trousers real low.

haha, me too! i recently bought new jeans (i'd been shamefully wearing my same pair of lucky jeans for all 4 years of high school, and the waist of them sinks really low in the front..to just above the very top edge of my underwear, because they've been so worn and the fabric is loose and has lost it's "umph") and every time i wear the new jeans, or i wear shorts, everyone comments about how long my legs are. HA!

the "what not to wear" people on the bravo channel say that capris are a 'no no' for people with short legs. wear long jeans with heels that hide under the jean, and layer your shirts so your torso looks shorter.
