DNA: If you think going to a modeling open call is a waste of time, you're wrong. Detroit-native, Jenna Klein, is proof of that. Attending that open call in Chicago paved the way to photoshoots for Vanity Fair and W magazine this year. And a priss she is not -- Klein used to work at a GMC assembly line in Detroit, so when she's running around during fashion week, this girl will have stamina.


Q&A with Jenna:

Does music play a role in your life?
Totally! growing up, my weekends were always about what bands were playing where, plus my husband's a drummer. I've been lucky enough to spend as much time as I did in our music scene.

What influences you?
My well being has shaped my life completely. its led me down this journey always trying new things. I love anything alternative and odd of the ordinary

B&W or color?
I love all colors! Especially green.

Your favorite word?
Waffles.

What book would you recommend someone to read?
I'm currently reading Terence McKenna's "Food of the Gods".

What was your first experience traveling abroad?
In the summer of 2011 my husband and I took a 2 week tour of Europe. We hit 12 cities in 14 days. it was quite the adventure!

Your defining feature, physical and/or character?
I've always loved my eyes and lips.

What is your favorite water?
Eternal alkaline.

Whom do you relate to more, your mom or dad?
Definitely my mom.

What age would you go back to and experience for a day?
21, I'd love to relive my wedding day.

Favorite time of the day?
Later afternoon dusk.

Fashion film or fashion editorial?
Fashion editorial.

Makeup or natural?
Au natural when I can.

3 things you still want to experience in life?
skydiving, have kids.. eventually and everything else.

Favorite quote?
"personality begins where comparison ends" - Karl Lagerfeld.

What are you having (or had) for dinner tonight?
I'm making myself a grass-fed sirloin with asparagus and carrots. yum!
