Jennifer Lawrence

It's doing something for her to the tune of $15M!

There are many people who 'respect' fashion to the exclusion of other more important things (as noted elsewhere here on tFS). I view her as balancing that out.

I suspect the real problem here is that people wish fashion were doing as much to love them back as it's doing for Jennifer--who may not love it at all. No doubt should any of us become the highest-paid actress in the world, it will do just that. I'm sure that's galling to some, but I view it as simple reality.

Regarding the quote about Raf in Vogue, I got the impression she was being interviewed around the time Raf stepped down?

I doubt she was unaware that Raf is leaving.

In fact, one could certainly argue that a company should call their $15M rep when their designer steps down so she's fully informed, since she might be asked to comment when the news is still quite fresh.

(Later she is shocked to hear the news that Raf Simons is stepping down. “I just want him to be happy . . . but I will miss those clothes. That’s a big job. Maybe he just needs a breather.”)

IMO this indicates that she heard about it after the news broke out, which is kind of late if you ask me. You'd think she'd at least know what's going on inside.

I read that article, but couldn't remember her exact comments ... thanks for refreshing my/our memory. I think she responded well for being blindsided. Someone at Dior was definitely not on the ball ... she should have been kept informed.

Uhm... why can't she wear stuff like that white bias cut dress in Elle to premieres? (or, why can't Dior make her one?) It looks amazing.

I like the styling in both covers, she always looks her best in sporty pieces imo. The arm looks weird on the first cover but might be the angle the snap was taken...

^If that bias cut dress above falls under the category "sporty" then I agree.

^I was thinking more on the lines of the wide straps and the stitching on the side
