I like this more and more, although I preferred his fall collection (which was really lovely). Especially like these shots (from jeremylaing.com):

I agree that this may be safe but I think there are some really nice wearable clothes....simple, classic with a twist (cliche I know) and the colours work for me. Its not ground breaking by any means but its nice.

well, i guess you need a mix of risky fashion and "classics with a twist" ...which I don't think is a cliche at all!!:flower:

personally, I never expect New York to take my breath away or shake up the way I put things together...I wait for Paris!

i really like some pieces.but i have to totally agree that the dresses are disproportionate.

i think Lena might be interested in what i'm about to say...
anyways,

i got a chance to take a look at a little bit of this collection today, and the one thig that i'd like to stress is that it's much better in person.
-excellent colour play, the pops of chartreuse especially
-the silks were very fluid to the touch, the cottons-soft and light, but still nicely structured.
-the gingham fabric also looks much better in real life, don't even know why...
-and there a few details that you might miss looking at the runway images, a lot of the clothes have very interesting backs and simple fronts.
*and the parka in the above ^ post was a standout for me..

jeremy l. also said that he liked the idea of two parts to the garment, one structured underlayer, and one (more fliuid) on top. overall, an excellent collection actually. ;)

A lovely beautiful, i love how he plays with unusual shapes and silhouettes! Can't wait to see what he does next ... I love that a Canadian got to show at NY Fashion Week! :)

i def think that you miss a lot if you don't see the details and the back view...
having seen more i def like it more...
esp the 'parka' that pastry mentioned...
that's a really great piece...

A great collection, i think Julia is modelling most of my favorite pieces. It's very solid with a well coordinated colour scheme and with its use of materials. I love the airy kind of feel it has to it and really love the whole trapeze cut fit in the dresses and tops .
