Jess Weixler was born on June 8, 1981 in Louisville, Kentucky, USA as Jessica Weixler. She is an actress and writer, known for Teeth (2007), Best Man Down (2012) and The Big Bad Swim (2006).
Attended Atherton High School in Louisville, Kentucky, graduated in 1999. Voted most talented.
Was in The River City Players acting group in high school as well as the Chamber Singers choral group.
Attended the Walden Theatre Conservatory Program
Attended Juilliard with best friend, Jessica Chastain, and graduated together. She was a participant during the first year of Bruce Brubaker's InterArts performance project at Juilliard.
In 2007 she was nominated for a Breakthrough Award at the Gotham Awards, and won the Special Jury Prize in Dramatic category at the Sundance Film Festival, both for her role in Teeth.
In January 2009, she was named by New York magazine as the "New Indie Queen" of the year and one of the fourteen "New Yorkers you need to know".
In 2013, she joined the cast of CBS series The Good Wife, playing investigator Robyn Burdine.
Lives in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn, New York.
Weixler is currently engaged to Hamish Brocklebank, a British businessman and co-founder of Flooved.[2]
