ASHLEY COLE has stepped up his search for a replacement for ex-wife CHERYL - and he may have found one by channel surfing on TV.

Canadian actress JESSICA LOWNDES, who stars in US teen show 90210, caught the Chelsea star's eye during a string of telly appearances over the past week.
She's in the UK promoting her singing career and has been a guest on one of Ashley's favourite shows, Soccer AM. Jessica has teamed up with rapper IRONIK on single Falling In Love but it's unlikely Ashley's only interested in her singing pipes.
The England star made some enquiries and is keen to get hold of her number.
A source said: "Ashley saw her on TV and liked what he saw.
"He has connections in the industry and wanted to get in touch. You can see why he likes her - she looks like Cheryl."
The actress is six years younger than Chezza but can definitely be classed as a lookalike.
Whether Ashley will be able to charm Jessica remains to be seen - he'll struggle convincing her he's boyfriend material.
Ashley's antics with ropey birds wrecked his marriage to Cheryl. She gave him another chance after his romp with hairdresser AIMEE WALTON but there was no going back after more cheating revelations emerged.
The England full-back has been single since their split but has been linked with ex-lapdancer SARAH PURNELL.
Not having a missus to come home to has hardly had negative impact on his performances on the pitch. Ashley has played some of the best football of his career since splitting from Cheryl.
After all the publicity that came with marrying the singer, you'd have thought Ashley would swerve going down the celebrity girlfriend route again. It wouldn't be bad for his profile though, which took a battering after his splits from Cheryl and boyhood club Arsenal.
