Jil Sander S/S 2014 : Edie Campbell & Ben Waters by David Sims | the Fashion Spot

Jil Sander S/S 2014 : Edie Campbell & Ben Waters by David Sims

Simply perfect... Edie is a star!!!

Perfect collaberation between Sanders, Campbell & Waters!

The images are fantastic, but Edie does absolutely nothing for me.

I can sing Campbell her praises when she deserves them, but I'm exhausted of seeing her for everything. Waters is giving us his best Lily McMenamy mouth and is equally unappealing. Gorgeous concept, but this just isn't doing it for me.

I don't know what you guys are seeing, this is so bad... casting, bad.. yellow powerpoint framing, bad... juxtaposition of slightly meaningful scenery versus that smaller pointless selfie-ish shot that's meant to give us a glimpse (or just suck you in with the "ethereal" air of nonsense) into the status you're supposed to fall for, BAD TOO... I love Sims sometimes (actually only ever loved him when working for Jil Sander), but this is the kind of territory that's more Segal for Another Man, you need a real sense of.. um, poetry, to work with those colors and contrasts, because that density alone certainly won't communicate on its own... ah, people get so lazy with colors, you inject life into them, not the other way around as if they bring favors, or as if it was the ever so generous, all inclusive b&w. /rant (:ninja:).

And seriously the casting is just so bad... to choose two people looking like myspace characters circa 2007 for closing this chapter of the brand.. ah, as awkward as the rest of the tale, I guess.

omg what is this horrible thing?

Sorry but is this the worst campaign of all time??

Perfect Camping i loveee all

The entire concept and look just feels very Proenza Schouler.

The problem is that Sims do the same exact concept for years now, for Arena Homme+. First I thought that these are the outtakes from the latest issue...

I was thinking exactly the same, I don't really see Jil Sander which is kind of ironic. I think the concept is ok but poorly executed, Edie looks dead and Ben is trying too hard.

Yes, listen to MulletProof...

Any cast can be elevated to supremacy with a talented team, so no problems with the models from my end.

But that layout is so horrendously juvenile. Just looks like some teen's scrapbooking. Jil Sanders deserve so much better than the pretentious cheapness that's overtaking Another Man.

Awful. I don't know what this soft-grunge-California-in-the-90s -instagram-mess is but I don't like it.

HA. My thoughts exactly.

I actually like these images. I think they would look much better in print.

I can't stand edie, but i really like the concept of this campaign.

I literally die this is so creative, I like art direction of this ad.
