Im not going to say I'm shocked that Naomi doesn't get Vogue covers but it is a bit *head scratch* not even British Vogue.

And Vogue Latin America.....I won't even get into that. I mean....really?

^Yes! I was very surprised. Only because Cara and Karlie have such a huge fan base and even that wasn't enough.

I would of given Joan an Only Girl American Vogue cover. It could of made HUGE a statement. Such rarity. Especially since she a Puerto Rican, Latina women of mixed race, she'll not only represent all women of colour, plus the return of models on covers as-well.

I'm Sure it could sell well, just because people would be surprised and happy to see a model and would love to support a women of colour and Diversity on the Cover of vogue.

Anyone live in PR? Joan is having a meet & greet at Nordstrom in the mall of San Juan on Saturday from 1pm to 3p according to her agent Jen. I assume it's for her True Religion collaboration

I find it hard to believe. I saw the Sept issue with Karlie and Cara didn't sell well, I give you that, but what about the others? ^

I've heard of a lot Hollywood stars and models who don't sell well, yet They still get cover after cover.

I can't find specific circulation #'s for the various vogue editions. I think we would all love to see that. Do Gisele/Kate really sell that well?
I can imagine her Vogue Russia cover selling poorly. They've only had Naomi/Liya on their covers. And most of Naomi's were while she was dating the Russian Billionaire Vogue Russia doesn't sell a lot of copies and I can't imagine people in Russia picking up the magazine with a black model on the cover. That's a terrible thing to say but there's probably some truth to it.
Some celebrities sell terribly with Vogue US (Anne Hathaway). Serena's previous cover had terrible sales apparently. I think Anna would give models covers IF they sell well. She paired Karlie with Taylor to give one of her favorite models another cover and guarantee sales.
Joan should be racking up Vogue Covers, she's one of the top models right now.

Those are impressive covers to book even if they were not only girl. And Cara has had plenty of OG Vogue UK Covers before, so I'm sure it's not big deal to her. I bet my life she'll continue to book OG Vogue UK in the future.

^^^ true. Vogue UK will always make sure a cover with Cara on it will happen. Hoping the second half of the year is Major for her. And that iconic job she booked leaves me extremely hopeful that it will be.

Some girls have weaker campaign resumes but make up for it in Vogue covers, and other girls have very impressive campaign resumes yet they can't seem to land much cover work. Joan ranks fifth on this list & she really should be higher. She should've had about 20 Vogue covers by now, but the latin/hispanic Vogues have let her down! And she really should have more covers than some of the girls on that list who aren't very relevant anymore. Regardless of what's happening in her career right now though, I am very impressed that a girl from the small country of Puerto Rico has landed 13 Vogue covers & is still booking A-list work after being a top model for over 5 years. That in itself is an accomplishment & she should be patting herself on the back.

They posted their latest beauty cover ( featuring Karlie) along with their past covers on instagram and I was like British Vogue FINALLY put Jourdan on their cover after an article posted in (I believe) the guardan last year. Its sad that in 2015 we have to demand diversity. I dont understand the problem and like fashionlover said, Latin America is diverse! I guess until more people call them out, they will continue on assuming it goes unnoticed. Joan is one of the top models out of latin america and not a single cover but Emily DiDonato (no shade) has?

Its been a long time since the last time I wrote in here because for me is easier to follow Joan's footsteps via her instagram, but since today something really great happens I want to share it with you guys, especially with valliaddict. Today was the meet & greet of Joan x True Religion at Nordstrom in Puerto Rico and as soon as I get notified I wrote to her mom to ask if it was true so that I can change my work schedule. Anyways, the day come and I arrived there on time. It was easy to know where she was because of the fuzz and the people around. At first she was being interviewed and later on she took like two hours to take pictures and sign autographs with the fans. Let me tell you guys that pictures does not make her justice. She's really beautiful, Very tall, with an amazing skin and perfect teeths. She was so gentle and kind with all her suporters. Her family also is so down to earth and they do something today that many do not notice but I did. Erika, who is also a beauty out of this world and Bernard (Joans boyfriend), make the dream of two little girls true. Apparently the 2 little girls cant afford something of the collection so they found a bag of the store and gave it to them so that they could have access to meet Joan. One of them was literaly crying. It makes me so happy to know that Joan and her family are such real and amazing human beings. Her mom also gave me the chance to meet Joanie so today is one of my favorite days so far. I also took a picture with her, ill try to post it. I think I sounded really cliché when I told her " Im your biggest fan since the beginning" hahaha I have been preparing myself for this moment and when it came I shoke and those were the only words I could say. She thanked me for being there, and she sounded so real, so grateful. Her sister Erika also thanked me many times for being there. Im so happy to finally met Joan, I even talked to Bernard and he's so cool, they all have this humble vibe that It just impress me a lot.
