I read some people discussing Meisel in relation to Joan. Where did that rumor come from?. It would be ideal if he was interested.

This is not Joan Small’s very first Fashion Week but it is her premiere as a model worthy of all those buzzwords that we love at OTM. And indeed Ms Smalls is the very definition of coveted, blue chip and must-have right this minute. Coming off a sweeping FW10 NYC and London season, Joan has walked for Antonio Berardi, Christopher Kane, Aquascutum, Julian McDonald, Anna Sui, Michael Kors, Rodarte, Marc Jacobs, Altuzarra and Alexander Wang. This is all after her surprise appearance at the Givenchy Spring 10 couture showing, proving again that Riccardo Tisci stands as a very prescient tastemaker when it comes to model choices. Milan stands as her next platform, with Paris bound to be an interesting venue for a young woman who has proven herself to be the very definition of grace and professionalism. And already in all that velocity are the sparks of very avid interest from some of fashion’s finest photographers. It couldn’t happen to a nicer girl.

Someone on ontd ff reported about a week ago that a 'new' successful F/W girl just shot the April VI ed with him and there has been much speculation about Joan, especially considering as she's not brand new and already had the Givenchy couture debut a month ago, which means Meisel might've clocked onto her more quickly than other newbies.

But I'd love to see what Joan can do. So far we've mostly had commercial shoots for Nordstrom and such from her. Besides from the James Mahon shots, I still feel that her WOW editorial moment hasn't come yet. But I'm sure it's right around the corner!

Right!.. could be her or Jenny Sinkaberg then. Either way, i'm certain that she'll have many stellar editorial moments in the coming months. Maybe if Tisci is enamored enough...he might give her the Givenchy campaign
