He's said the only thing that matters in America is money. He has called president Bush an idiot. He has though also stated that he doesn't have anything against the people there and that he is an American, after he was "misunderstood" by the media in America, which went crazy because "oh my God, someone famous actually critisized America".

I don't know which country he prefers but he has stated that the "civilisation" is in Europe. He has though said he prefers the French countryside, that he finds it the place where he can live the most normally, which isn't available for him in America.
