Do you have a favourite designer showing at Barcelona Fashion Week?

I really like a lot of them but my favourite one is Jan iú Més.

What do you wear personally?

I’m very simple. Jeans, T-Shirt, a pair of beautiful boots and that’s it.

How often have you been attending Barcelona Fashion Week?

I’ve come here since the beginning...Like when I was 18 I started here and so for me this is like being at home. It’s amazing. Normally you go work and that’s it but here there is space for something else.

Barcelona Fashion Week has changed Locations several times by now...any favourite spots?

I remember a spot that used to be up in the hills and it was amazing. Everybody was there in the sun between shows having drinks. It felt like a party.

How does the crisis affect fashion and you personally getting jobs?

Sometimes you have to consider more the job you have than the rate you get. But still fashion is an industry that makes money. Luxury is a branch that isn’t that affected by the crisis and I think fashion industry will remain.

Which brings us tot he next questions: especially mens fashion. Things have improved. Do you recognize that? Are there more jobs form men?

Yeah! I’ve been in Fashion for the last 10 years and I can see the difference. I don’t know what it is but you can see guys spending money on creams, and personal stuff that before they didn’t.

You’re being one of the most famous male models, do you think you have been a start to things changing?

I hope so. Definitely. Because we are also worth it. Our salaries aren’t as high as theirs but we work hard and we create, and we are part of the industry. So we need our space.

What was the most spectacular thing that ever happened to you during your model career?

I have to say many things. I’ve been very lucky. But I think working with Tom Ford for nine seasons was one of the best things. Also working with Madonna.

You also played in the film “A single man” how was acting different from modeling and is that something you might want to do in the future?

It’s completely different yes. Acting and fashion are completely different. I felt so many things that I never felt in fashion. So I think my steps in the future will go that way. It’s what I really like and really enjoy. But for the moment fashion is fine and I have worked really hard to be where I am. So I prefer to enjoy this time and in the future go that way.

Is there any designer or photographer you would want to work with in the future?

I would love to work with Bruce Weber. And I know now it’s impossible to work with Helmut Newton but that would be amazing (laughs).
