It isn't short, and there re definitely models that are shorter than Juana, I think it might have to do with her look, ita kind of like black models, except now it's Latina models, of course there are a ton of Dominican girls working right now and doing wonderful jobs, but most of them are Afro Dominican, it's the tan skinned Mestizo (half spanish half Indian) girls who don't gt as much work. It's really sad, because Juana is absolutely stunning, and I'm rooting for her since the are no other High fashion models coming out of Peru, like seriously how many non-of-European descent Peruvian models are over 5'8. Not very many, I would know myself since I'm Peruvian. It's really sad, and interesting, you see European looking models who are definitely 5'8-5'9 who get booked, but I think it's more about color than it is about height in this case.

I do have to agree that while fashion is starting to have more PoC in their runway shows, it's not nearly as diverse as they should be. Considering society's demographics, you would think that they'd cast a bit differently.
