OMG - that 2000 collection is a dream! Love the colours, textures, cuts, everything!! I had never seen it in totality before but one of the looks is used on the cover of this book, which I own.

^ I know right? as I was saving those, I'd stop and stare for a while and remembered it's exactly the same reaction as when I saw it for the first time 12 years ago and was like 14, you'd expect something to change on a personal level (considering how I don't relate to that 14 year-old girl at all!), but I feel as if this is truly.. what should be called? educational/foundation material, definitely feels like a strong point of reference in many ways, the impression is the same but its interpretation evolves as one ages, it's brand new every time I revisit it.


And thanks everyone! too bad there aren't pictures from earlier shows.. firstview does have some from 94-95 but only Yohji when it comes to more interesting designers. There's also Versace for those interested in that...

i don't quite understand why most of the others like helmut lang and demeulemeester start at 96 but yohji in 94?? i could have sworn they had helmut's collections from 94.

anyway,great looking out for this one mullet! and your story is my story as well....firstview was really my first internet window into the fashion world....whereas before i had to rely on months and months of waiting for fashion file to cover the latest stuff or the collection issues of magazines.
