Hi I just bought these shoes, what do you think of guys wearing this type of shoes...

    http://www.debenhams.com/jv/product_detail...D=1093304416296

I have been wearing shoes like this for a while as I find flat shoes actually hurt my feet after a while. So I decided to wear shoes with heels. I am a student and wear them under long bootcut jeans, most people dont notice or when they do they usually think its cool.

So what do you thinks of guys wearing shoes like this... or have any guys here ever worn shoes like this.

I don't like the heel. I think they'd look OK if they were more cowboy boot-esque. I just don't love them.

    yeah... not a fan.

i like men to look like men and generally am not a fan of men's fashion following women's (with the heels, etc)

if you like them go with them, but i expect you'll receive mixed responses

I hate flat shoes. And yes, they do hurt.

However I believe those boots were intended to be for women. Men's heeled shoes are usually of the Cuban heel variety.

    A somewhat thicker heel.

following in the footsteps of prince...the purple one...

unfortunately ...men are generally to big to wear a thin heels without looking out of proportion...

and even prince ...who is as supercool as they come...looks pretty silly in his heels...
of course you should wear what you like...but i'm not sure that look works ...imo...
i also think the front is too tapered for most men...

but i'm not fond of the boots in general...so that's adding to the issue... :ermm: :flower:

At first I thought they were quite effeminate, but that is obviously because they are women's shoes...

It's honestly hard to say without seeing you and your style, it all depends on whether you can pull it off, and what you wear them with. :D

It's 2004! Do we really need labels like "womens shoes" or "mens shoes"? :argg:

I'm sorry if I offended you, but like it or not, shoes are generally categorised.

Assuming you were referring to my post, I continued to say that it would depend on what they were worn with, according to the individual.

I personally have no problem with anyone wearing something from another gender's clothing line. :flower:

I think it's definitly different, but variety truly is a neccasary spice! If you feel good wearing shoes like that, I'm assuming you have pretty fierce personal style, and I ALWAYS like that in a man!

Honestly, jj, the shoes aren't very attractive. If you want heeled shoes you could get a boot with a stacked Cuban heel which would be much more appropriate. The boots you posted look too much like women's shoes.

This is an example of a cuban heel (though the boot itself is ugly:(

The heel is much more masculine.

I dont like them. But I really like flat shoes and I mostly wear them, no matter that I love to be in high heels. they just seem too comfortable. :P

As someone who just bought a pair of shoes with this type of heel (I'm a guy) I wholeheartedly agree. The boots the original poster bought simply don't look good for a man, because the heel is too thin IMO.
