i remember seeing this one in the 'sketchy behaviour' thread some time ago:

i'm actually posting while 'discovering' right now so i'll make up my mind later and just share for the moment

images all from bigactive.com

it's funny because there are some things that seem very simple and based ona a few forms:

and then again:

It's a bit confusing, actually. Along with the different usage of forms, the styles are totally different each one as well. That first one,I think,is spectacular but then I saw the second....not a very distinct pattern,I don't think. All lovely but rather dizzying though.

Thanks so much for posting these anna! I absolutely love the first piece with the unicorn. Every time I look at it I think of my favourite movie when I was little, The Last Unicorn. Or is it actually from that film? It looks so familiar...

I really like that busy one as well... It's like a big, happy, lots to discover, junkyard.:p

Not just when I was little :ninja:

I like it... what I'm guessing are elements of graphic design combined with illustration... or vice versa, perhaps.

yes, i thought it was confusing, too but not bad.
one thing they all have in common i think is that they're very playful.
i like your description, cosette^_^ (and you're very welcome).
you're of course right, jennifer, but still there are people i think who have more of a signature style in both. i don't know...

(:heart:love the last unicorn, i also recommend the book by peter s. beagle)

i don't know..i can't put all this work together in my head..it's all so different, and i don't particularly love any one style...i think it's too all over the place for me. i like that heart illo that's black line drawing...i also like the first one with the white unicorn (love that movie too! also legend! :)), but in general, it does nothing for me.

Anna, that's the one thing that's always bugged me about Jun Takahashi(Under Cover)....every season is totally different but I remember Runner telling me that perhaps this is his style....screwing with people's minds;confusing us(however,as if we need more confusion in the fashion cycle). But I can see a similar style with these.
