Born and raised in Bern, Switzerland, Karin’s interest laid with art, fashion and design. It was an engagement in an artist’s studio which ultimately led her to find her true her passion for hair. Over the following six years Karin worked as a salon based hair stylist in Switzerland before moving to Paris in 1999 to take her career to the next level.
After working closely with Marc Lopez as well as other well-respected session hairdressers on various high end photo shoots, global advertising campaigns and prestigious fashion shows Karin began to establish herself in her own right. During those exciting years, Karin was able to enrich her knowledge further by mastering the art of color. Over the ten years based in France, Karin created a strong portfolio of work and acquired an impressive list of clients.
International adversting clients include; Givenchy, Balmain, Chloe, Yves Saint Laurent, Versus, Trussardi, Lacoste, Fred Perry & Agent Provocateur.
Global editorial clients encompass; Italian Vogue, French Vogue, British Vogue, Russian Vogue, V magazine, W magazine, i-D magazine, Harper’s Bazaar, Dazed & Confused, Numero & Self Service.
Karin’s A list celebrity clientele includes; Elle Fanning, Sofia Vegara, Naomi Harris, Charlote Rampling, Isabelle Huppert, Julliette Binoche, Juliette Lewis, Liv Tyler & Pharell Williams.
In September 2011, Karin moved to London where she is continuing her ever-flourishing career.
