Karl Lagerfeld F/W 2025.26 : Paris Hilton & Jon Kortajarena by Chris Colls

I don’t know what Hun Kim’s project for KL is. As much as they wants it to feel like a « Maison », since Karl died (even if he wasn’t involved for a longtime other than attending the annual party, doing campaigns and agreeing to projects), it’s clear that marketing has took the lead there.
It all looks like a mascarade but at least the photos are good.

Paris is not very Karl either. Neither are the products shown. They should just release the archives.

Agree with you as usual, Lola!
Nice photos but what are they exactly for?

this made 0 noise so far, if it wasn't for this thread I wouldn't have seen it was announced a few days ago already 💀

No one knows precisely what Karl Lagerfeld and Paris Hilton said to each other at the 2006 event in Los Angeles for a Dom Perignon campaign lensed by the designer.

Some say he told Hilton that “The Simple Life” — the reality show that propelled her and Nicole Richie to international stardom — was one of his favorites.

Karl Lagerfeld chief executive officer Pier Paolo Righi could not verify that fact, though he felt confident the late German designer would smile on the fact that Hilton is now the star of a multifaceted campaign for his namesake brand.

“It is so unexpected, as Karl was,” Righi said in an exclusive interview to discuss the fall 2025 effort, which will roll out this month globally and crescendo with an event on Oct. 1 during Paris Fashion Week. “They knew each other and I think if Karl was still with us, he would have loved the idea.”

and if they wanted to use the connection to Karl I feel like Lindsay would've made more sense? someone needs to book her a fashion campaign too already.

The Kelly inspired bag with the KL monogram buckle clasp is ridicolous LOL
Paris wouldn't be caught dead in any of this...is there a market for this?
Paris x Lanvin by Bruno Sialelli is the best she has ever looked.

That and the fake Givenchy shark boots. I giggled tho because it would seem Paris wore gloves as a nod to Karl but she almost religiously is wearing them IRL obviously to hide her aging hands that don’t match the rest of the plastic upkeep.

Karl always loved the idea of the girl of the moment. Paris is not the girl of the moment. To some people she is iconic but she is not of the moment still….
So they are having marketing meeting, making decisions with no sense and don’t think about the brand in a long term.

Karl was totally aware of the place of his brand in the landscape. That’s the reason why he gave the KL campaigns to the same HF models who did Chanel or Fendi. The same way that during FW, a model who cancelled for KL couldn’t walk a Chanel or Fendi show.

The boots are probably a nod to the ones Karl did for Chanel in 2002…Which Riccardo probably copied.

Couldn't agree more and you perfectly summed up what it already was before Karl left this world. And even way before, I often had the feeling this was just a side-project of his, some hobby or something he got involved in just because it was possible. The simple fact it still exists as a brand sounds like a pure marketing trick relying on Karl's household name, capitalizing on his popularity and overall legacy (far beyond the comfy borders of our little fashion world).

Also agree on how this is just masquerade as a whole, but that the pictures aren't bad at all nonetheless.

And the cast for this 'campaign', may Paris Hilton be very Karl or not at all, just relies on some sort of dubious nostalgia.
