Thank you runner!
2nd look is my favorite. This collection leaves me with contrasting responses (some of it I REALLY respond to and some of it I really dont like, like the print and colors of the Asian-inspired top paired with gray wool pants). Much better than her last FW collection though.
runner...thanks from me too...i like most of this....
hanne...i don't think i agree...i think that since there isn't a defined shoulder line in so many of the designs...someone with narrower shoulders could successfully wear most of this...
which is something i personally look for since i am 'petite'...
**translation..i'm short and i have no shoulders......
and anyway...if you have broad shoulders...don't you pretty much look good in everything?...
Seems to me Katarzyna is trying really hard to move away from the Margiela feel and finding her own voice. Last collection and this are both particularly strong and quite distinct.
That was my point ..(unless ofcourse your back is as broad as a chinese olympic swimmer..) imo these cuts would hang nicely on someone with broad shoulders..but a lot of them would "drown" someone with a petite frame.
thank you scott..i guess i was too distracted by the pictures so i missed it......
i tried too find pineal eye when i was in london...but never did...even though i found that tiny little concrete...(which is insanely overpriced and tiny and cramped with the clothes chained to the wall...btw...completely horribly over-hyped imho...)
anyway...i agree with what you said about moving in her own direction...i relate to this very strongly...
hanne...i don't know...i'm pretty narrow and i wear this kind of stuff...i think the tricky part is to get the proportions right...as long as you wear it with a heel (the way it is shown)...then it can usually work...it's when you try to do the kinds of shoes that are shown at someplace like cdg that you get swallowed up...i always seem to need a little (and sometimes a big) heel in the more voluminous garments...
i would probably wear a high boot with some of this...
I'm not really impressed by this collection, it looks too willfully eccentric. Also, like Hanne I'm put off by the blocky top-half of her silhouette..except I actually don't think much of it would look good on anyone, regardless of their shoulder-width.
