Kate Moss For TopShop

"Moss posed for the requisite shots with Topshop's Sir Philip Green as even the jaded fashion editors in attendance unabashedly pulled out their cell phone and digital cameras to capture the fashion icon."

Too funny. It's so weird how exciting events like this can be!

does anyone know how long topshop takes to delivery to the states? I'm waiting for that coin vest

^not sure, but i placed my order on may 1st and it was shipped out on the 4th. i still haven't received it yet. i'm hoping it'll arrive this week.

Nothing is worth buying, the quality of the garments has been worse than regular Topshop!

HEard the clothes were mostly artificial fabric and poorly made. Somethings weren't even finished! The clothes were too small for the average personand highly overpriced.

I went in Topshop Oxford Circus this morning, there was plenty of stock, which I expected (including plenty of the dress she wore to the NY launch). In Drapers Record (UK fashion trade press) last week, Philip Green said that they'd broken all their sales targets, but still had plenty of stock, he was kind of implying they knew the launch would be crazy, but they'd planned for this by having a lot of stock.
It's not my bag, (I'm a bit old for it at 37 hehe!) but I think it's a good range. The Madonna one I think is awful, that's the cheap range IMO. I also saw the Lily Allen range in New Look and I thought that was lovely, and great prices.

Also UK clothing retailers ar egetting REALLY p*ssed off with ebay, it's all I read about. They know that much of thier stock is stolen and then ends up on there 'BNWT' so I'm not surprised Topshop is doing their best to make sure supply meets demand. It was never meant to be an exclusive range ever.

how much does that dress cost?

Do you know what, I didn't look properly, I just picked up the sleeve to see the quality, it was polyester chiffon, is it on the website?

They had alot of it, it was right at the front of the display but no one was picking it up.

ok, no i don't think it's on their website yet...Thanks anyway :)

im glad the UK retailers are putting the 5 item limit on topshop or the two item limit on the anya hindmarch items. its a good way to keep prices low for the rest of us. american retailers wouldnt have the balls to ask that customers not purchase more than 5 items.

i cant believe that topshop has ordered 100,000+ of the white one shouldered dress!

for those in the US that are disapointed with their barneys selections i would try calling the barneys in dallas and FL. less hype down there and more stock.

I wish they would update the website with more items other than the tank tops and skinny jeans.

This is true. I was told by someone who works at topshop not to buy it because one of the dresses [below] was already falling apart, & at £120 i really shouldn't bother, she said most of the collection was the same :ermm:

really? i went there this afternoon, it wasn't there. sold out already? but no one was picking it up?

There's certainly more than tank tops and skinny jeans in Oxford Circus. No white dress, there was some kind of floral number (I doubt it was the sell out pansy print) but they had the denim hotpants, coin waistcoat, yellow dress, that cheap looking red number, seemed like they had a full size range stocked as well.

Should have had a better look shouldn't I?

But I just wafted through towards the maxi dresses.

I went in at 1030 this morning, there were only about six people in the KM bit. Perhaps everyone saw my comments on here and rushed down there. :innocent:

hole smokes! asos.com has already copied the yellow dress!
(image via catwalkqueen.tv) i wonder if sir phillip will attempt to sue.

you can purchase it here. its a lot cheaper than topshops version!
http://www.asos.com/Kate-Moss/Chiffon-Asymetric-Strap-Dress/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=140100&cid=2631

they did that months and months ago, before the line was even launched. i actually told people in the queue that if they didn't find the dress they should just go to asos, its cheaper, and looks nicer.

the asos dress does look nicer.

i saw a pic of the black asymetrical leather jacket in harpers bazaar UK and i like it. has anyone else seen it?
