Much is written about the problem of fractured families, but not much about the Band-Aid role that surrogate families play in modern life. I’m talking about the families we choose for ourselves – the proxy mothers, stand-in uncles, substitute big sisters and second dads. For example, take Philip Green and Kate Moss. There he was at the Topshop launch, holding her hand, propping her up, giving her the “that’s my princess” bolstering she so craves. Watching the two of them, you never think investor and cash cow, or dirty old man and hot model, you think girl and surrogate dad.
That is partly because Moss is one of life’s natural surrogate children. She may have her own parents in the background, but she has a history of adopting battle-scarred godmothers (Marianne Faithfull) and grounded sisters (most recently, Beth Ditto), and now she has found the broad-shouldered, plain-speaking and deep-pocketed Green. It is called survival, 21st-century style – and everybody is at it.

i agree with the person who said the floral/neck detail dresses were nothing to write home about, i bought the black dress but returned it, wans't worth the money. I have loads of dresses i like a lot more. And the floral one is kind of dull. Just my opinion! The sequin dress does look amazing on Selma though.

I just went to the Oxford Circus Top Shop and they had loads of KMTS clothes in stock, but most of them were Size 12 or 14s. I couldn't find any of the items I wanted in Size 8. Ugh, so fustrating.

ahh thats a shame Harrods Girl, but maybe you should have tried the 12 in this range, they truly are the most rediculously small sized items I have ever come across

Chloe-Babe: Maybe I should have. It's just that the only item I was really interested in were the black shorts and those shorts are definitely larger than the stated size.

I saw two of the sequinned dresses at the Oxford Circus shop today, but I didn't check the price. It was really see through and looked like it would fall apart really easily.

love the cut on this limited edition dress in the tan colour! but i think the white dress is something that jennifer lopez would wear notsomuch moss. i think the lime coloured dress is the same exact dress that moss wore in the window of topshop on 'opening day'(ebay.com)
