i went to opening ceremony in NYC this weekend. they had some of the limited edition kate moss dresses (they were 400$+). i was shocked at the markup on most of the items. some items were marked up 200$ more than they are at topshop.com. they had the mettalic 3/4 sleeve tops, pleated vests, school shirt, sequin backed tees, schoolboy jackets, silk waistcoats, wet look dress, bias cut skirt, high heels and the pouch bag.

i would only go there to try things on and then order off the topshop website.

wow, lucy92, i can't believe the markup on the topshop items. you're right, i think i'd go just to try things on and then buy it off the website. even with the shipping, it ends up for the most part a lot cheaper than the marked-up items.

just curious, what limited edition dresses did they have there? it's been awhile since i was at opening ceremony...totally opposite my part of town.

nogoodforme, they had the black/white silk dress she wore to the barneys party, the floor length blue silk dress (they had 5 there and the dress was limited to a 100)and the white/cream dress that looked as if jennifer lopez would wear it.

if you thought the markup on the kate moss topshop items was bad you should check out how much prices are inflated on the regular topshop merch that opening ceremony has

oh Im so very mad now. Ive found out topshop wont be shipping to slovenia, and they said they would. now I wont be buying my dress for the wedding Im attending. I was going to buy the yellow one shoulder prom dress .
and they wont ship it to nowhere else than uk and usa, oh dont they know we live in European union? aghr...

yeah. I'm facing the same problem too. The dress fits around the torso but is HUUUGE around the chest. I'm getting a tailor to take it in.

The Barney's co-op in Atlanta got a shipment of the white dress Tuesday. I tried on the dress when I was there yesterday and you guys are so right about the fit. I tried on a size 12 and it was huge in the chest (and I'm not really small chested either). This was really strange too because I have the pansy dress in a size 12 and it's so tight in the chest that I can't really lift my arms.
