Keira Knightley

Neither is the chick that loses out on the hot spaniard for her insane brother, but such is life. Not everyone has a happy ending.

I don't expect My Fair Lady will be well recieved, but I want to see it anyway. I know the Audrey fans will tear it apart and spit on her in the street but I think she can weather it with class. I'm so sick of scar jo I don't want her to get any more roles.

^ I agree with everything Captain Lydia. I know people are hating on her for it but Keira is really the best choice for the role and I think she'll do Audrey proud. I can't imagine anyone being a better choice! It's so disappointing Joe Wright isn't directing, but the film has loads of potential with Daniel Day Lewis co staring and Emma Thompson on board as a writer (coincidentally Emma was the one in Love Actually whose husband bought the other girl a gift!). At any rate even if the film isn't very good we get to see Keira in glamorous costumes and speaking in a cockney accent lol.

Diehard fans of the original musical are going to be up in arms over any remake, and I just don't think they'll find anybody for that part better than Keira.

And, oh, think of the costumes!!!

I'm a huge audrey fan and I'm actually really excited for it  dare i say it, keira is like a modern day audrey for me *awaits beatings from diehard audrey fans*

I'm a big Audrey fan also, and I think the movie would work with Keira but God help me if Scarlett would get the role :judge:

You know in a way I suspect that the Scarlett rumour was just that, a rumour, put out deliberately to make people more amenable to Keira playing the role :ninja:

But I for one can't wait for the film, especially to see the costumes  Does anyone know when her next film will premiere? I'd love to see new outfits of hers on the red carpet

You're probably right, but I'd still would have loved to see if Scarlett was able to pull off a role like that. She just seemed like a more interessting and "daring" choice for the part.

As for "Love actually"... ever since Natasha Richardson died, I can't watch this anymore... not with Liam Neesons character mourning his wife, it's just too much.

^ You know I actually thought of that when she died too and it does make it ironically sad. He played the role so well. I know I'll still watch it though. It's one of the few x-mas movies I still like.

^Well, you know, I actually love it most for the "naked-stand-in-couple". They are too cute for words.

Oh they are so cute! At the end when he jumps down the steps is a key moment. I have a soft spot for Colin Firth's story line. "Just in cases."

Oh dear, we are getting so Off-topic here... But yes, Colin's storyline is brilliant as well. The szene where he drives her home for the last time, I never know whether I should laugh or cry.

Oh, and by the way, Keira Knightly is a gorgeous girl... :innocent:
