KELLY KLEIN HAS BEEN INVOLVED IN THE FASHION INDUSTRY FOR OVER 25 YEARS.

AFTER SHE GRADUATED FROM FIT IN NEW YORK SHE WORKED AS AN ASSISTANT DESIGNER TO RALPH LAUREN AND THEN AS AN ASSISTANT DESIGNER TO CALVIN KLEIN.

AFTER LEAVING THE FASHION INDUSTRY, KELLY STARTED HER PHOTOGRAPHY CAREER.

SHE HAS WORKED FOR NUMEROUS MAGAZINES SUCH AS BRITISH VOGUE, GERMAN VOGUE, FRENCH VOGUE, RUSSIAN VOGUE, ITALIAN MARIE CLAIRE, HARPERS BAZAAR, INTERVIEW, JANE AND A MAGAZINE.

KELLY HAS ALSO SHOT ADVERTISING CAMPAGIANS FOR BACARA HOTEL, PARK HYATT HOTEL AND SAM EDLEMAN SHOES.

SHE HAS PRODUCED AND WRITTEN SIX COFFEE TABLE PHOTOGRAPHY BOOKS, OF WHICH SHE HAS DONATED ALL OF HER PROCEEDS TO VARIOUS CHARITIES, SUCH AS GODS LOVE WE DELIVER, ELIZABETH GLASER PEDIATRIC AIDS FOUNDATION, CFDA/VOGUE INITIATIVE, AND THE EQUESTRIAN AID FOUNDATION.

KELLY HAS BEEN AN AVID EQUESTRIAN HER ENTIRE LIFE. SHE SPENDS MOST OF HER FREE TIME WITH HER SON LUKAS.

Thanks for the thread. She doesn't seem to shoot much anymore which is a shame, she's done a lot of good, moody work.

She is also Calvin Klein's ex wife, which is probably why she could give the proceeds of her books to charity

Two great surprises, Kelly Klein and Ellastica!! Nice to see you again, haven't spotted you on here in ages!!

This story is one of my favourites in that edition. The issue I bought this issue some years ago at a second hand shop and it's certainly seen better days, so it's such a relief to see the scans here. Thanks a lot for posting!!

A treat to see Hanli and Hedvig, both uber rare models, in one edit!

Wonder if Hanli is still active?
I remember seeing her in late 90s allure and HB. She reminded me a lot of Danielle Z esp when all smiles.

Kelly so versatile behind the lens. I find her fluid aesthetic moods and passion for connecting with her subjects, inspiring.

One of the few female photogs whose work 90s fashion glossies featured (from that era) on a regular basis. Very under-rated, under-appreciated lenswoman.

This makes me want to divide up the behind the by sex simply to see the ratio of female photogs, stylists, make-up artists vs male counterparts. Would be interesting!
