Waitress star Keri Russell and husband Shane Deary welcomed their first child, a son, her rep confirms.

River Russell Deary was born June 9 in New York. The birth was announced on Monday.

Russell, 31, who gained fame on TV's Felicity, now appears in the hit indie romantic comedy Waitress.

She previously told PEOPLE of her pregnancy, "I'm one of the lucky ones. ... It's a big, life-changing experience, and we're excited."

Former Felicity star Keri Russell has given birth to her first child, a son named River Russell Deary.
The actress, 31, and her husband, Shane Deary, welcomed River on June 9, her rep confirms to Usmagazine.com.
Russell and Deary were married on February 14, 2007. At the time, her rep told Us that the wedding "was amongst her close friends on a cold snowy Valentine's night."
This has been a busy year for the actress, who recently received stellar reviews for her role in the critically acclaimed film, Waitress.

Whatever happened to Scott Speedman? aka BEN

He made a few indy movies after "Felicity" I think. He has some movies in post-production on IMDB (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0005454/). He is really cute and a great actor. I forgot that him and Keri used to date in real life. I like that she married a "normal" guy though.

I saw the E True Hollywood Story of MMC last week, and one of the girls from the show said that her, another girl from the show, and Keri all hang out in NYC still and are still great friends. If I was in the business, I would want a career just like hers because she is a well-respected actress yet still keeps most of her privacy and leads a normal life.

Keri Russell smiles for photographers on Thursday afternoon, looking fit as ever less than two weeks after giving birth. That’s right, two!
The proud mommy carried newborn son River (okay, so you can only see his forehead) in a baby sling as she ran errands in Brooklyn.
Keri, 31, managed to grab coffee and go to Whole Foods supermarket to pick up water and detergent. She even picked up the laundry in her grandma cart!
She should start sharing those post-pregnancy weight loss tips. They certainly have been working for her!

OMG! These made my night. It is so strange to see her with a baby because I have followed her career since I was so young. She looks amazing! I bet that she will be a very hands on mom and that we will see lots of cute candids with her as a mama in action!
