What the hell has Jared done to himself??!!

Go back to your sweaty, hairy, southern selves PLEASE!!!

^ Hmm, I think the closest Jared has ever been to 'sweaty, hairy, and southern' was him having hard below his ears. He was and always will be a pretty boy

Exactly Sav. He was so young when they started Kings of Leon, that he's never really had to experience not being a 'rockstar'

I don't get why some people are getting upset.
Haven't they always partied with celebs and f'd models? Now they just have cameras on them while doing it.

I literally just looked up at the TV screen and saw them for the VMA's..I dont see why they shouldnt hang out with the "in" crowd,i mean, wouldnt you want to be with people who are also in the prime of their success?Besides im sure Lily has influence and they have known plenty of celebs the past few years.Plenty probably want to know them :)

^ Ya the only thing is that they complain about these people in interviews and then end up hanging out with them :ermm: That's the most annoying aspect of it, IMO.

there's nothing wrong with going to events and hanging out with celebs, but atleast be choosy about them. it's all about the level of these things.
I mean the VMAs...they really don't fit into that whole aesthetic or Beyonce, Kanye, Fall Out Boy, etc. (and thank god they don't fit it!).
And then the 'celebrities' they hang out with.....Chace Crawford? Gossip Boy? Seriously?

they can go and get their rocks off with models at hot parties, but at least have some dignity and don't sell out to the.... mall crowd ::shudder::

I was kind of talking about them as a group :)

But Jesus Christ Jared's seriously taking it to a whole new level "yuk:

I saw them last night in Montreal and they were sooooo fantastic!!! such a great show. they sound exactly like their album, they're amazinggggg guitarists and just the whole thing was e l e c t r i c . a proper rock concert. they were so pissed at the pple in the seats who were sitting (Caleb was like :" I dont wanna be an ******* but ive never been to a rock concert and sat on MY ***!!!!!!!" and the venue wasn't sold out (8,500 fans were there) but the floor wasnt packed either. we came at showtime basically and were so close to the stage :woot: anyways, I FREAKING loved the show. I want you and Use Somebody were amazingggg because of the response it drew from the crowd and their performance: you could feel how we were all just feeding off of each other's energy.

Where the hell does he get off telling people how to act at a concert - if people who have paid for their friggin ticket with their own hard earned cash want to do handstands or yoga throughout the concert - that is up to them. I've never heard a band complain as much as they do .... CALEB if people are not up and rockin, thats the bands fault for not giving it some wellie!!! I think they need to rock out to a few good concerts and go back to the drawing board. Phew had to get that off my chest. Sorry rant over.

As for their fashion - it's gone rapidly downhill since the last album, their style really has done a complete 180 since Aha...its all about looking pretty for the girls who buy the albums, and go swoon at them in concert, yep its all for the money they've even said as much in interviews.

^ lol Caleb was ranting again? uh-oh

oh ya he was ranting! it was little intense, but at the same time i came to the conclusion that it was all part of their vibe, i guess and it really didn't alter the show's vibe at all. though i imagine if you were in the seats, you were kinda taken aback but then again, the floor tix weren't more $$ than the seats, so i don't get why ANYONE would go see them and not be on the floor:huh: the floor is where it's at. + his vocalized his frustrations (more than once) at the critics talking **** about them selling out: saying: "they can kiss my a**".

and ^maidquiet you're so right about people paying and having to listen to the rant: really not cool at all!

I have payed $200+ to see Madonna only to be told by her to get the F up and dance.

I agree people can do whatever they choose but I don't blame the band for trying to get the crowd more into it. They feed off that energy.
