I know these are just some silly quartz watches but I "think" I really love them and they are not insanely overpriced...I have to try them on sometimes to test them out...anyway...I wonder if anybody had seen one of these in person or even own one. These may not be as popular as Chanel's J12 or Dior christal but I think these are very tasteful, special and chic. One of these three may be my gift for myself for either my birthday or Christmas and I was hoping if someone could educate me more about these watches or help me choose one :flower:

ps. It's going to be an everyday watch so practicality may be important as well

I saw them at the Dior on E 57th but they didn't compell me enough to try one on, there is sooo many variations, gold with all sorts of semi precious stone faces. I should probably try one on, they're very very sleek.

I used to LOVE this watch, but the J12 has eclipsed it in everyway, also I dont think this watch has the movement that I demand!

Wow, it's really REALLY inexpensive as far as designer watches go.

For the one w/ the diamond bezel, it is $2,695, and it has a half carat of flawless diamonds...The J12 has 1/4 of a carat of dimantes but it costs around $4500.

Exactly...that's one of the reason I want them now...I mean I'd love to have a $13,000 Franck Muller but these too are soooo beautiful and so me...plus much more affordable:p

ooh btw the pictures are from watchplanet.com

Oh they are reasonably priced! I mean they aren't as expensive as other trendy watches but at the same time the shape is rather classic so It could be a must have one day

I'm so dissapointed...I tried on the whole steel version at the Tag outlet in Woodbury today and it was a little too plain for me and also it was half off...I think perhaps I should get the 38mm with diamond bezel with croc strap but they don't have any of the diamond ones there...but again, the whole discounted thing kind of discouraged me from paying $2795 for something that might go on sale later...I have to think about it...

Gah...the diamond version looks soo beautiful though...I think I may love the diamond version more...

i love this watch too, but my favorite variation is yellow gold with a turquoise face, its so beautiful.

I finally got a chance to try these on in person. The 38mm with diamond bezel and croc strap is so elegant and chic "heart:, I love it so much. I think I will get for my birthday...I also tried on the Hermes maxi arceau. It was nice, but I think I like the La D better...the arceau was more expensive anyway

^Good choice! I think the diamond bezel and croc strap is just so elegant and beautiful!

Popped into Dior today, checked out the FW DH boots and Chanel-esque jacket, and the La D de Dior.

I tried on the silver bracelet w/o diamonds, the 38 I believe, it looked so cheap! I was in shock about how tinny this watch looks, also tried on the gold w/ Lapis face which is gorgeous but on me it's a little guido. I saw the one Foxie has been eyeballing and it is definately the best of the La D's, the full bracelet looks soo cheap but the classic croc is a nice contrast to the modern face. My SA knew nothing, seriously, she told me the black diamond Christal I tried on was a 38, NO WAY, it was so tiny, must've been a 28. The Christal is pretty cheap looking too, not even the black diamonds could save it.

Yeah that's why I decided to save up for the diamond and croc...I could get the steel without diamond for around 750 at the outlet in Woodbury but it just doesn't scream my name...the Christal is just ok...the SA showed me the black diamond version too but it's just too trendy and J12ish and more expensive...so anyway if by Christmas I still love this then I'll get the diamond and croc La D, which the SA told me will be a permanent Dior line...let's hope that's true

Yeah, I asked the SAs at the Dior on 57th about it and they are a bit confused too but they only have the gold and steel versions without diamond, and some baby D de Dior with diamond and mother of pearls. Too bad I don't like any of those...maybe I'll call them sometimes to see if they'll get the croc and diamond. They have lots of chris 47s, malice, and riva/diamond rivas too...some at 50% off retail and some at 75% off. It's actually a Tag Heuer outlet but since it's part of LVMH, they have Zenth watches too. At the Dior company store, they have a bunch of RTW, some Dior Homme patent boots, sneakers, and loafers, tons of Dior gambler, D'trick, street chic, and ballet bags and wallets, belts, accessories...all at at about 50% off retail
There is also a Chanel outlet too with many chain and pearl belts and necklaces, they have watches too, but not the J12. I saw some skinny Chanel silver ties there for $45 but I'm not sure if I really want them, btw they also come in beige and pink...oh well...you should check them out sometimes an hour is not that far...it's an hour and half from me and I go once every couple months

That was going to be my second question...What does the Chanel outlet have?

God, Ive gotta go up there...

Look what I found on worldtempus...the siwrling 38mm La D or the snail...gosh it must've be great in black croc...I wonder how much it is

Appearantly the snail La D will be only released in Switzerland...what a bummer...the 38cm crocodile will be about $5900, which is not too bad but it only comes in white croc or steel...oh well...ooh and Dior shares same maufacturer as Tag Heuer and Zenith, I guess this means that the watch quality can't be too bad rt?
