Laceup jazz shoes

agh i get so mad everytime i come to this thread, i can't find a decent pair anywhere online!

Can someone post pictures of them wearing black jazz shoes?

Im considering buying them but want a preview first. Thank you!

This photo is from the Repetto thread.. It is not me, but this picture definitely pushed me a little into purchasing my Repetto Zizi's. I will take a photo of me wearing them later and post.

they sell jazz shoes at payless.com...
ive been looking for more brogue type of shoes..and does anyone know where i can purchase repetto shoes online in the U.S. that sells the Zizis?

The ones at payless are real jazz shoes for dance though arent they? If they have the split sole or the very thin sole they will not hold up for street wear. They are only meant for studio floors.

heeled booties version of the brouge?

Hi there, I (re)discovered this forum thanks to Susie's blog (Style bubble).

Not sure if this is the right thread to post in, but I am desperately in love with the heeled booties version of the lace-up brogue shoes (not sure how you call them). I have been recently looking for them on the web but I'm not sure how do you call them.

Here are a few pics of the kind of shoes that I love.

The lovely patent peep-toe platform Fendi ones (way too expensive for me:(

As seen on The sartorialist's blog:

The Seychelles "Filthy Rich" version that I just bought on ebay for 34$:

I like the ones I bought but I was looking for something a little more simple, something similar to Fendi's. Any suggestions on where can I find them?

(I live in Italy and unfortunately many online shops don't ship shoes to my country. But I can have them shipped to friends in NYC that can bring them here for me.)

Thanks for the help!

It may be time for me to call off the dogs!

I'm seriously contemplating these Dolce Vita ones. But I can't decide if I prefer the brogue style or the jazz shoe style more. What do you guys think would look better with skirts and dresses?

(these also come in silver and "smoke," a bronzey color)

Any of the styles with a heel will still be hot next spring. The NYC runways were full of lace up ankle boots!

I followed your link but I couldn't fin the pics of the NYC runways with the lace-up ankle boots.
Do you have any direct link?

That's because I don't have any detail shots up but take a look at Anna Sui, Heatherette, Marc Jacobs, Jill Stuart and more.

Here's a shot from Jill Stuart who showed almost every girl in ankle boots. I loved it!

Cola, those are the Mango ones, right?
I wanted to get them too, but they didn't have them in my size anymore, will have to look out for them.. How do the feel like wearing? I thought the material could may be kind of uncomfortabely stiff.. ?

(hello livejournal!)

Yes, Mango.
They are comfortable although the material is stiff and my feet are more normal than supernarrow. I'm a 39/40 and got the 40. 39 was out anyway but I figured if they fit me with three pairs of socks on (I do get cold) I can as well walk long distances in them.

those mango brogues are half price on the UK mango website [£25 down from £50] I do like them but Im not sure if Id get much wear out of patent ones.

this thread made me get the oh deers. they should ship next week, so i hope they work out. i got my true size...
