I really enjoyed this show. I thought the presentation was very nice for Fall, and the ambiance was very clean and modern. IMO, Karl was going in a more grown-up look for this look, something I'm sure his clients will love. The colors were mainly black and white (which I love :mrred:) with a touch of red that makes all his collections vibrant. The fabrics were rich satin and wool. The metal and feathers were a nice touch too.

Btw, I think Frankie is a good face for Chanel. She very womanly and she's always wearing Chanel when I see her in interviews.

:| i usualy love lagerfeld gallery, but i havent seen the whole collection yet.....im not to keen on the tuxedo look- but the dresses in the last to rows a like very much.

im not the biggest frankie fan. i think there is something whimasical about chanel, and IMO, frankie doesnt have any whimsical qualities to her look, that works for chanel...IMO  i think mariacarla isa better face for chanel  [/ot:0feb2e7eb1]

There's alot more to the collection. This is all Paris Vogue had at the time.

I'm not a huge MariaCarla fan, I think she's better suited for JPG. She looks great in those ads.

Modest and powerfully so! Love the skirt! But the roleplaying that is implied is limiting. This is not a change of mood. But roleplaying.

I think Frankie lacks something of the gamine look that I think of when I think of Chanel (imho)

I agree with Lo...the tuxes aren't really my thang but the dresses are magnifique ;)

I love Frankie!
I saw a 'style icon' thing with her, and she had the same Chanel ballet slippers on that I have!

She called herself a 'Chanel Bag Lady'

his flagship store in Taipei is to die for.

too bad I cant afford any of it

Well... I think it's an interesting collection that's a bit Gaultier androgeny and a bit Valentino crisp. Impeccably pretty for the most part although it lacks his usual fresh originality in my opinion.

A well-deserved break nonetheless... or maybe
he and Hedi ( :yuk: ) worked together on this one.

Wow! thanks for the pics. I like this a lot. I like the way he tweaks things slightly (ei making a jacket longer and adding sunglasses) to make the look turn from school girlish to matrix like. I love the glasses, but I'm afraid they would make me look like a bug!

I have glasses like that, they are cheap ones though, no label, hehe :D
