Lakshmi Menon

At Sonia Rykiel show - Lakshmi was wearing Westwood dress.
I love how (I don't know how to say it) Lakshmi gives her respects to Sonia in indian style (6:09 -6:16). Realy great.

^_^ She did namaskaram (or namaste as it's referred to in North India).

:ninja:I have been really been struggling to like her. I tried really bad....and I just could not swallow her. I respect her for what she represents, and the fact that she is probably the only Indian model out there really making it BIG. But to me she is pretty but she lacks soooooooo much personality. Im not saying she has to be a Chanel or Tanya by any means. But show some type of emotion woman!!:lol:. There is a video that is backstage at DVF and she is like " I am really happy to be here" but her face and tone of voice said otherwise....to me it read " Are you serious??? Can I just walk down the runway and get the F *** out! Im tired of this runway stuff....and can you reporter lady stop asking questions":innocent:. I will continue to support her because of what she stands for and the diversity she brings...but I will not like it:lol::lol::lol:. Or atleast until she shows some emotion.

P.S. And no that backstage picture at Stella McCartney (the one where she has a smirk) does not count...because she was half- a**ing that smile. Go BIG or go home hunny.:lol:

P.S.S. Lakshmi fans please do not bash me :ninja:

Er, alright? I don't know Lakshmi Menon personally, and I can't exactly say I'd gauge her character based on a few backstage photos. It's also worth noting that she's significantly older than many of those other girls (being in her late '20s) and is probably not as starry-eyed about all of this. Not that too many girls are, to begin with, but still. I'd count her as one of those models who regards runway as a tiring job versus life-changing experience.

lakshmi has an amazing personality...yes she seems a bit sarcastic... bit thats how she is..personally i like..it gives her swpunk.. she is mature..and sees the reality of things..and personally i'd rather see that..than a gigli wiggly pre-teen!

Can I just say, not that I haven't been full of praise for her over the past forty-something pages , but I really like how her mouth is full and slightly crooked? On some models (and people in general) it just works when something is a little off, asymmetrical.

Anyway, there's a smile for you, Messer Gaultier Bandit. It's a rather zen expression on her.

I love her so much! I'm so glad that she's representing India
Her face is so strong and intense <3

Oh and I'll scan some pictures from the latest Vogue India later ^^

I dont agree with you Gaultier_Bandit but I do respect you opinion. One cant really make such assumption from just watching one video, I watched the video and to me she seems very mature, smart and coherent I dont think she needs to be jumping and making faces and being loud backstage ( like one from your favorites) to have a personality. Like I said she is a mature woman who doesnt need to act like a teenager.

Hmmm...I dunno maybe you guys are right...her age might play into her personality backstage. I guess I can give her another try.

I'm So disappointed that lakshmi won't repeat givenchy. But i hope she"ll have some nice campaigns.

I'm sure she will get something this campaign season - her show season was too amazing for her to walk away empty handed. It would have been nice for her to repeat Givenchy but they have another vision in mind this time around it seems. I wouldn't count her out for repeating it another season though since they always use girls over and over again for Givenchy.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for something unexpected. Lakshmi and Anna J would be perfect for Donna Karan this season.
