It's a hard film to categorize, it's in a class of it's own, I think, and for some that may be a good thing, and others, perhaps a bad thing, depending on your taste in film. There were some parts that felt rather awkward and poorly acted, (though, I think that was, to a certain extent, intentional), but there were also a few moments that I thought were just genius.

I like that Gus Van Sant seems to be a very experimental filmmaker, he doesn't play by the rules, and even if you don't like the results, I think credit should be given to him, for pushing the boundaries.

Also it made me continue to think about the characters, and story, and the dilemma/questions raised, even after the film ended, and I always like when films inspire an inner narrative in my mind even after their over. ;)

If you like more off-beat, independent type of films, I think you'd like it, it's definitely worth a watch. :flower:

Pheobe in Wonderland was an unexpected gem, I thought, definitely recommend this film. Contrary to appearances of the promotional material, it is not really a children's film, and was very well done and engaging, I thought. ^_^

I've watched it actually. But I don't really understand the story because I'm fascinated with what I see. It's really beautiful, especially the skateboard part:wub:.

I've been meaning to see it since it came out last year, but just now got around to it. Great movie. Given how we know the outcome before the movie even begins, they made it work to their adventage. Just seeing all those characters work so hard to pull it off and knowing that they will fail, it was like a dark cloud over them. Dreading the actual ending. Plus, they really made the last half hour or so when the plan actually goes in action really tense and suspenseful. Acting was top notch as well. Nothing really Oscar worthy or anything, but the cast all played off each other really nicely. Job well done all around. I'd highly recommend it.
