Met this cute and extremely cool designer a few months back. I wanted to post some of her stuff from her website which is also in the designers directory, check it out if you have time.

Oh, I really like her stuff...

Thanks for posting it all Clay, much appreciated.

Sorry, just checked her site...

is it just my explorer? or is her sites collection pages not opperating correctly?

anyway, Love the fact she's a small brand...even her email on her site is addressed to her...how cute is that!

New York-based designer Lauren Felton debuted her women's collection a year and a half ago at the Spring 2004 Gen Art Fresh Faces show, and has just completed her fourth collection.

Lauren's trademark is an intellectual and sculptural approach to construction, and a thoughtful and serene beauty that unites each piece. Her clothes can be reconfigured and worn in multiple ways to create new and altered garments, for different moments and different moods.

Lauren Felton has been profiled in Nylon, BlackBook, The Fader, and Bon. She has also received coverage in Jane, Vellum, and Dansk, among others. She sells her collection in specialty boutiques in New York, Los Angeles, Detroit and Singapore.

Beautiful, chaotic yet strangely calm. Is she the secret lovechild of the As Four commune? Inspiring to see something come out of NYC that isn't a celebrity/sponsored by WWF/corporate copycat monstrocity. I wish her all the luck. :flower:

So true Bacchus.

I love the idea of creating something to be worn multiple ways. I always shift my clothes around and where them however I please but it's nice to see something that is created with that intent

Guys glad you like her. She is really down to earth also. I wish her the best.

I love how interesting the pieces are, soo cool. I think the first look is too manly, I like a strong shoulder but not a football shoulder.

thanks clay...very nice indeed...

*good to see you around...
hope all is well...

HI SG! YEAH I STILL OUT HERE FM TIME TO TIME.
ALL IS WELL.

THANKS! :flower:

I like her work
I agree with the visual connection to AsFour, probably because of the prominent use of the circle/circular shapes

i'm reviving this thread... from 2005!

I've seen some of laurens work and I must say its really nice, shes really amazing at draping. I have a friend who wears a lot of her dresses and lately her work seems to have gotten slightly more body conscious. i would post pics from her site but its flash and I dont know how to exactly...

anyone else heard about her?
