very pretty. I was wondering, is it Leighton's outfits on GG that everyone loves or her own real style? Cause everyone compares her to Olivia Palermo or the other way around and are loving it. But then I think, her style on GG as Blair or as Leighton?

Personally I really dislike the styling on GG, but I really love how modern and risk taking her style itself is, even though I probably wouldn't wear it myself. So I prefer Leighton's style

I think that the styling on GG is absolutely awful
Perhaps it was good way back in Season 1, but currently its the biggest mess, and Blair looks like a fusty old grandma who has gone blind and insane
I think that the comparisons between Leighton's style and Palermo's are pretty misguided. Blair's style compares to Olivias, Leighton's doesnt.
That said, I don't think much of Leighton's (or her stylist's) style either - its edgy sometimes, but I'm not sure if she pulls it off really. Nonetheless, I like leighton as a person - she seems sweet and has a very gorgeous face.

Ironically, it used to be the other way around. I think Blair's style this season is improving...maybe because they are filming winter scenes and they seem to know how to dress her in the winter more.

i want more candids of her!!!
I'd love to see her in things with more volume, movement, and softness. Her real life style is fun, but it'd be nice to see her stylist play up her porcelain doll and classical features more, like the Glamour editorial. It's weird that we don't have her in gowns more because she's attended a lot of black tie events.

Leighton has her acting.
She can act, sing, is career-oriented, and comfortable with her sexuality without fronting a Britney Spears virgin act to sell it. But wait, are you really complaining about gratuitous beautiful Leighton to an awesome song?
The girls are also only 23 years old and have accomplished so much. Every Julianne Moore, Reese Witherspoon, or Gwyneth Paltrow has her Gossip Girls or Twilights in her early career. I have no idea why some people act like it's the end of the world if GG is canceled or they don't appear on magazine covers.
And the writing on GG was never amazing, but they used to give her something to work with. I still enjoy her as Blair and she lights up my screen. I don't love or relate to Blair as a character, but I'm highly entertained by her and it's really all Leighton. Everything else about that show arises boredom.

^ I agree, I wouldnt w atch GG if Leighton wasnt there, she is amazing there. I agree they've never had amazing scripts but Leighton does a supreme job there, I couldnt imagine no one playing Blair as Leighton does, she is gracefull and funny.

That music video is embarrassing and I actually cringed while watching it. The sexiness is way too forced. Honestly, I think Leighton can do much better than that. I don't know if it is because I associate her with Blair, but Leighton has never really been about sex appeal to me. She's not a sexpot a la Megan Fox.
It's hard to say. The "teen" actors on Gossip Girl are not good - Blake mumbles, Ed overacts, Chace is lifeless, and Jessica and Taylor never get enough screen time. Penn and Leighton are the only ones who look natural in their roles - but it's easy to play the geek and the brat. Just ask Adam Brody and Rachel Bilson... whose careers are kind of non-existent right now. And when Gossip Girl is eventually canceled, they will probably go the way of their OC counterparts and fade away.
Also, talented actors can take a crappy script and do amazing things with it. So yeah, the GG writers are to blame... but I think good writing just hid the bad acting in previous seasons. Looking back, some moments were horribly acted, particularly when Serena was crying over the "murder" and Ed was pissed about his dad dying.
As for singing... I have yet to actually hear Leighton sing. Her voice is always electronically distorted, it is hard to tell what she actually sounds like. But I've only heard Bette Davis Eyes, Body Control, and Somebody to Love. (I loved Bette Davis Eyes and Body Control though)
I've liked Leighton ever since I saw her on Entourage so I hope she has a career after Gossip Girl. But right now, she hasn't done anything to really stand out, acting or singing-wise.
