He need to make some of them feel more elegant because some looks look like his work for Uniqlo. And the models are not selling the clothes at all, why are they looked so sad?
The styling is so confusing. So much layering, the few last dresses were ruined by those questionable layering.
Boring!?!? The pattern making is anything but! This is a very subtle, yet enticing collection for its elevated minimalism and entirely sophisticated stance on dress.
If you've followed Lemaire for a bit, looking at a collection like this feels very formulaic - I get the feeling I've seen most of these shapes before, the arts-y prints towards the end, etc. - Winter hinted at a bit more tailoring and in general, I feel it would be nice to see Lemaire trimming up the silhouette a bit more and putting their twist on things that feel outside their usual comfort zone.
His brand of decaf Anne Marie Beretta is still something I like but it'd be rather nice to see him venture a bit more outside of that...his time at Hermès demonstrated that he's more versatile.
