Where do you like to hang out? I like the Mercer Hotel and the lobby of the Bowery Hotel
I travel by… foot. New York is the perfect city to walk around
In NY I normally wear… jean shorts and a T-shirt
Best for coffee: The Mud Coffee Truck in the East Village or Mogador for Turkish coffee - they also do an amazing Moroccan breakfast
Best for cocktails: The Black and White, in the East Village. It's the epitome of laid-back cool
Best market: I like the one in Hell's Kitchen
Best for gifts: The vintage store What Goes Around Comes Around. It has high-end vintage and contemporary clothing
The last thing I bought in NY was… a 1960s ring
Best museums: MoMa, the New Museum, the Whitney and MoMa PS1 in Brooklyn
Best place for people-watching: Thompkins Square Park in the East Village
In NY I always stock up on… peanut-butter cups
If you want to feel like a real New Yorker go to… JG Melons uptown for a burger
My favourite NY S/S11 show: Anna Sui was fun
My favourite NY designer is… I love Alexander Wang and always wear his clothes

Don't leave NY without… going to Katz's Delicatessen on East Houston Street - it's the best in town!
