Lip Plumpers - Injection-free

I don't think these products work very well, at least not the ones I have tried. I find the best solution for temporary plumping is to vigorously exfoliate your lips using a damp washcloth or toothbrush for a minute or two (you can then apply lipstick or gloss or whatever you would normally put on). This will plump your lips slightly and also bring out or slightly deepen your natural color. It also has the added benefit of softening and ridding your lips of any flakiness or chapping -- not to mention it costs nothing, and you get to keep potentially irritating substances or chemicals off your lips.

Lip Plumpers

Does anyone have any good Lip Plumpers to suggest?

Which ones plump the best
Which ones last the longest
Which ones sting the most
Which ones are worth their price

I've heard good things about Pout Plump and Lip Fusion...
I've just never tried and would like to hear it from someone who has used/uses it!

Thanks. :flower:

Here´s the other tread. :)

Today i tried City Lips in clear and i didn´t found it as stinging as Lip Injection. But i think it´s for a more often use, like lipgloss.
Lip Injection stings so bad that i wouldn´t repeat the application as much as the other one.

^ Mixed reviews on that one (from DuWop). IMO, it's a waste of money. I tried it b/c it was touted up in all the magazines, but I saw no results. Nice tang and uplifting scent when applied, but it dries super quick AND dries out my lips, too  All on top of no plumping. You can do alot better with your $12 I think ;)

I see similar opinions in the lip thread, but there are other reviews, too. Sort of lengthy, though:

Sorry, Stefanie, I don't have a good option for you :(

I think they are all a waste of money, they sting, and your lips feel numb.

DuWop Lip Venom did nothing positive for me. It just burned.

Has anyone tried the lip products that are supposed to make lines less visible? I think I have a little more hope in that idea hah.

If your lips are plumped then the lip lines become less visible, i don´t know why one should have more faith in that! :p

Anyway, if someone wants a good rec for a fabulous lip balm product, Vinefit Levres by Lancome is just LUSH! i has the most wonderful scent and it leaves your lips really moisturized and beautiful with a great natural shine. :)

haha! Well it's more so that my lips are really liney... (probably from years of compulsive picking -_-) and I'm kind of hoping a product like that would reduce it and make them look a little nicer!

and they simply dont work...Trust me! I have naturally full lips already, so Ive tried the whole gamut of lip-plumpers in the quest for even bigger lips, and none fo them work...Just a big gimmick if you ask me..And I think they purposely add that ingredient to make it sting & feel number, just so it can trick you into thinking, "Wow--it's stinging! It must be working!"

Yeah, Im with Kora here--big waste of money..

Lip Fusion works nicely and it's a bit cheaper than other lip plumpers. It stings a bit but it keeps my lips looking plump even after the lip gloss has been smudged off.

LipVenom really works for me. It's best to exfoliate your lips first, then apply it-I told my friend to do this too and it really plumped up her lips.

Lip Plumpers DO work.
Of course they don´t work for a lifetime or even for more than a few hours, but they work by making the blood become more afluent on the lips. I have heard that clove oil does work wonders too.
But the smell must be yuck! :p

Exfoliating your lips with a mild or baby wet toothbrush is good too, because it also makes the blood flushing to the lip area, besides taking all the dead skin off too, wich is also fab to make the lips look more plumped and less shrivled.
Then applyng some vaseline or 8th hour cream will make them look lush!

For an even more flushed look try suing an electric toothbrush! I´ve tried it and they looked just fantastic afterwards (just be careful...). :)

i tried lip fusion & venom. there was no difference. i'm certain now that only lip augmentation will help with my thin upper lip. sigh~

i tried Helena Rubinstein Full Kiss lipgloss , and it really worked very well with me , but i didnt look thaat good with BIG lips

I don't know if the DuWop lip venom plumped my lips, but I used my friend's and I loved the cinnamon-y-spicey-tingly feeling. ^_^

I just bought the Two Faced 'Lip Injection" and it totally works! My natural lip color is quite pale, and when I use Lip Injection, it makes the blood vessels turn a bright pink color and makes the lips noticebly larger than usual.
