Lip Plumpers - Injection-free

Has anyone ever tried a lip pump? lol I know it sounds corny but I heard it works much better than plumping gloss.

Yes girl, it is pretty painful! and I would say I have a high threshhold for pain. Especially pain in the name of beauty! lol...
It basically stings. I think if you just keep you lips moist and wear clear gloss it has more of an effect. Or just embrace what you have. :-)

i love love love big lips

my lips are already pretty full but i can see myself in some time getting lip injections lol ^_^

but i tried plump lips- lipgloss and it didnt do anything really, just made them red and numb

I tend to agree with Golden on this one - only thing you can do is "contour" your lips to make them seem bigger.
- eg add a slightly lighter colour on the middle part of your upper and lower lip.
- wear gloss.
- add a smidge of highligher (*see where the arrows are pointing)
- and avoid dark lip colours as they will make your lips appear smaller.

Yeah Hanne! ;)

That is the most quick, cheap and easy way to get plumped lips!
I don´t often do it as it looks to p*rn star in me, but here´s the test so that you can check!!!
Just gloss is already plumping enough- your lips look more filled up because the lip gloss fill all the natural ridges of the lips.

I did it using a bit of concealer around the lip line, then contouring with a neutral lip liner (i mean neutral by lips colour like) and then just plain clear gloss.
Pretty amazing huh?! :D

DuWop lip venom!! :D

Trust me, it works and its awesome!

I bought DuWop Lip Venom but I didn't seen any magic - I liked the tingling sensation in my lips ( I let one of my gf's try it -and she couldn't get it off her lips fast enough - I guess the cinnamon oil in it is either something you love or hate) - it did have a nice gloss texture - but that doesn't last as long as say MAC's lipglass imo.

Well, my lips aren't completely thin, my bottom lip is medium, and my top lip is thin, but my lips are nicely shaped, with lots of curves, so I love them. Ya know, it's so crazy, though, because I just got invisalign, and I swear it made my lips fuller!
I've tried DuWop Lip Venom, and I still use it sometimes because as a gloss, I think it makes my lips a nice color, and I love how it feels! It does a little for my lips, but nothing oh-my-god amazing.

I get Restylane injected in my upper lip only, my bottom lip is full and it hurts but it is not unbearable. I love the result.:winkiss:

ive got small lips and i bought one of these lip pumps! Oh dear what am I like!
Anyway I'm very impatient and decided to just 'pump them up' when really your meant to have a 2-3 week conditioning period where your lips get use to the pressure- anyhoo i didnt do this and I got very bad brusing around my lips- but god they were really big! Instant results! But only lasted about 10 minutes!
Unfortunatly I am a lazy bum and have never used it properly so i dont know how long it really lasts- i have heard from the luscious lips message board some very good things though ;)

^ Mixed reviews on that one (from DuWop). IMO, it's a waste of money. I tried it b/c it was touted up in all the magazines, but I saw no results. Nice tang and uplifting scent when applied, but it dries super quick AND dries out my lips, too  All on top of no plumping. You can do alot better with your $12 I think ;)

I see similar opinions in the lip thread, but there are other reviews, too. Sort of lengthy, though:

Sorry, Stefanie, I don't have a good option for you :(
agreed. i use duwop's too and its DRYING.

I bought a lip pump because I was curious and it worked amazingly, lasted for atleast 7 hrs. I strongly recommend it!

i think this is how you can make lip plumpers work to their optimal level:

before you apply it:
-exfoliate (only do this once a week)
-apply a chapstick/balm

then apply it and add a light colored gloss, they'll look much fuller. however i dont believe they truely do what they say they do. i have very thin lips, and this is the only way its actually made a little difference.
but what i reccommend is Lipscription by Benefit since it has a lip exfoliator and balm.
also, drink water!

I think the hardest thing about reviewing Lip Plumpers is that everyone has different lips...those who have very thin lips might notice a bigger difference than those of us who already have pouty lips.

I tried the DuWop Lip Venom...and yeah, it does have a nice cinnamon feel to it and it does burn a bit...but no obvious plumping action.

I went to Sephora and asked one of the employees which one she reccomended and she said that the popular selling item was the LipFusion Collagen Lip Plumper thingy...she said that unlike the other plumpers, this actually added collagen into your lips and the more you used it, the better the results. She said it lasts for, like, 24 or something hours. It creates a tingling sensation---not major, but enough to notice. I've been using it for a couple weeks and I do think there is a difference, not a huge Angelina-Jolie one, but a significant difference----I do seem to be pouting more
Anyway, for the price, I do reccomend the Fusion...

(and don't, by all means, don't buy the cheesy Pam Anderson lip plumper....the stupidist thing I ever bought...and I was too embarassed to even return it, hahaha :innocent: )

I got a sample of a lip plumper form Sephora and all I can say is :yuk:
All it did was burn and make the skin around my lips bright red - it really looked like I had impetigo. Never again

lip plumpers work because they irritate the tissue, and that brings more circulation to the area which makes them plump. so if you want them plump, it's going to hurt. i tried the lip fusion and saw/felt no difference. here's the funny thing. i purposefully gained around 13-14 pounds because i was 92 pounds (due to taking ritalin. if you just started taking it or you're concerned or want the info on that for future reference, message me. i don't mind at all). anyways, i thought my lips were too thin, and after i gained the weight back, my lips are perfect and full! it's too funny, some of the weight went back into my lips! i'm absolutely content with them now.

my advice for plumping:
drink milk (it increases the circulation for about 20 minutes after you drink it due to the coldness of the milk, and will darken the color) if you want a quick fix for a photo or something.
gain a few pounds if you're underweight and see what happens.
