No. 5: Liu Wen
$4.3 million
China’s first major supermodel will become an even bigger name internationally as she helps usher in her home country’s exploding fashion market, which is expected to triple in size by 2020 according to the Boston Consulting Group.

Wen, who was also the first Chinese model to walk in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, has a roster of modeling and endorsement deals from some of the biggest names in fashion and beauty, like H&M, Estee Lauder, Calvin Klein, Hugo Boss, making this 25-year-old one to watch.
Agency: The Society Management

My goodness, 4.3 million bucks a year! That's A LOT OF money.:D So happy for her. I suppose Forbes's data is reliable, right? It's amazing that she makes even more than Carolyn Murphy. Someone complains she doesn't get enough editorials on major fashion magazines these days. I guess she doesn't need to bother with that anymore if she makes this much money a year.:P

Hmm, I really wonder where she gets all that money from even if her work is mostly commercial.
The fact that Doutzen Kroes and Karlie Kloss are not on it, increases my suspicion towards the list.

I agree, I'm happy she's on the list and if in fact it is true, it's really another milestone and another wall broken down by Liu Wen. No other Asian model has made that top 10 list, correct? But it is suspicious, no doubt. And the Forbes article does specify that these numbers are estimates.

Karlie will more than likely be on the list next year. I love how Liu has become a trailblazer for asian models in this industry.
Hopefully we'll start seeing Asian models on the Covers of International fashion magazines.

Estée Lauder (and beauty contract in general) pay very well, usually better than fashion campaigns.

now i can die with no regrets or something like that. @liuwenlw is really the nicest—she remembered i had wanted to take a photo earlier and couldn't so she told her manager to wait while she took one more before she left. #liuwen #charlesandkeith

In the last pic of the previous page I can see Yuri from SNSD.

About Liu Wen, really really really really she is so stunning.
:wub::wub::wub::wub:
I mean she looks the part of a Supermodel (without dating someone famous *cof cof*).

I truly have a massive crush on her.

Liu is now #3 on MDC's Top 50 Models! Is she the first Asian model to rank that high?

Yeap, The Society just announced that they are now representing Liu Wen. There seems to be a major defection at Marilyn, starting with Constance Jabonski in January that triggered the $3.3 mil law suit.

Well, Marilyn just lost 2/3 of the EL girls which I am sure is a huge financial hit for them. The Society seems like the new "It" agency and I'm sure they will represent Liu Wen well.
