wwd.comUNITED NATIONS OF BEAUTY: Giorgio Armani celebrates diverse beauty with the fall 2016 advertising campaign of his New Normal women’s line. The images, shot by Peter Lindbergh, will break in international titles this July.
In order to show different kinds of women, each with her unique beauty, Armani tapped a squad of high-profile faces that included Liu Wen, Liya Kebede, Elisa Sednaoui and Amanda Murphy. These are the protagonists of the intense black-and-white portraits, which Lindbergh shot on the Plage du Touquet beach, close to Pas-de-Calais, France.
“I wanted to show different types of beauty, without barriers — four young women who experience the present in their own ways,” Armani said. “With my style, I have always wanted to communicate the idea of concrete, real elegance, and this campaign renews this message with a sense of absolute modernity.”
This is the second campaign promoting the New Normal line, which features a range of women’s staples infused with Giorgio Armani’s signature designs.
