^ You had my hopes up for another cover, but that it such great news!

Didn't mean to do that. But hey, we could always look forward to seeing her on other editions of Vogue! ^^

Liu Wen needs an OG editorial on US Vogue

And why that hasn't happened yet? Many explanations... it could still happen.

Outside of Vogue China US Vogue have been just as supportive throughout the years (for real, thank goodness), but yeah that OG ed would definitely strengthen her role more with the powerhouse. Even without it she's a favourite and still getting featured. I say good either way!

Well this is so exciting for Liu Wen and to see her name advertised and that she's featured in the September issue (we all remember her first appearance was in the same issue too!). Wonder if those models are going to be photographed together or with separate eds or something else. Would be awesome if it's a combination or the first, and may it be the main fashion story. Can't wait to see some previews, hopefully this lives up to the anniversary!

(Hope that the Russell James shoot is not for this and is for something else.)

The HD is better than the preview obviously, but this is still so lacklustre... very boring there for Vogue. The pose, expression, crop and angle also doesn't help IMO. Happy for her but was anticipating something grand and spectacular, given the cast (would've been incredible if there was a group shot too, and/or perhaps by another photographer, for another time/separate ed). Oh well can't have everything.

Anyway, Liu Wen looked phenomenal for Elle! Some stunning shots and a much more engaged ed. (And Louis Vuitton/Ghesquiere missed out on not doing something with Liu Wen - she was doing very good for them until, say, Chanel came along. Then again, they had other plans and went with a different path and names. Understandable, but hopefully she gets a chance with LV later on.)

I agree, I really wanted a group shot. Hopefully this will lead to bigger things for Liu and US Vogue.

^ Yeah was hoping for a group shot especially, and it could've been anything, maybe like the pics below for example... but fresh, new and now.

Also, there wasn't an article with the spread (not that it was necessary). What could have been special were to feature each model with a closeup or mid frame shot along with a brief write-up of the model and their significance. Seriously I have it down that I could actually show my sketches of what I'm talking about. The opening page would be the group shot then followed by individual portraits and the main story somewhere between.

A bit disappointing and didn't live up to that excitement for an anniversary - they didn't go all out for this particular ed. But whatever, they did managed to get these legends together so we're good!

^ Liu and Tory Burch are a match made in heaven. She pulls of the bigger pieces and mixed patterns so well.

From what have been released thus far for the campaign images of Tory Burch has been a bit underwhelming, but the video was much more uplifting and communicated better and she looked amazing in those outfits that weren't in the campaign.

Would love to see her styled like that more in future eds and perhaps photographed by the likes of McDean, Jackson, Ghertner and especially I&V to name a few. Change in attitude, look and setting would be refreshing as of now (from her work this year).

It seems her Chanel contract is just for Asian only

Yeah think we all knew/suspect that...

Well let's just hope this Chanel thing was worth it (of course it is, it's better than what EL was doing with her, but let's see the results and the details on those papers).

Not sure when we can expect to see these Chanel images.

Fantastic news! I rather see an Asian face representing an Asian market as oppose to having white models appearing on billboards. I do not worship white people and white beauty.

TBH, I don't think it would help her model career a lot except for a fat paycheck if the Chanel deal is Asian only, and I really doubt how much exposure she will get in Asian countries considering how are asians obsessed with Caucasian looks
