Not that this needed to be said anymore but want to add to my earlier comment in post #982.
Just think this Chanel thing was an opportunity presented to Liu Wen... perhaps unexpectedly(?). And she and Co. went for it while likely weighing the pros and cons before making this demanding decision. Well it might've been easy knowing EL didn't budge. (So it's their loss. At the same time don't think they necessarily ended on a bad term...)
With that said and considered and done, therefore this just seemed like it was the right move, time and direction, by partnering with Chanel. What can Liu Wen do at this point. She went with those that saw her worth.
One could say this is like a new start. A fresh journey.
