We keep talking about Ashley this and Brokaw that. While this could be short-lived and isolated to just FW18 shows, hopefully this extend beyond and something actually does pan out, whatever that may be.

There's a probable chance that Liu Wen could front Chloe, only because of her relationship with Natacha... and if she wants Wen in the campaign and calls for it.


Interestingly, without her referral I bet we wouldn't have seen Liu Wen at Prada or Paco Rabanne. I'm inclined to believe it all started with Natacha/Chloe (her VC cover had Chloe and she was promoting the brand weeks prior, coincident? - not!). It was only then that Ashley took interest in Liu Wen and wanted to work with her again and thus booking her for Prada/Rabanne (big surprise!). Ashley certainly saved Wen for Prada to make her first show of the season - there's no way she would've missed Anna Sui/NYFW.

And this also explains why she was seen in Paris (leading up to NYFW or in the midst of NYFW). Hence believe she took that time for fittings/meetings for the shows that she walked?

While LV didn't happen, which was a real missed opportunity for the trio to reunite = Natacha + Liu Wen + Nicolas Ghesquiere, something could still happen in the seasons to come (Resort 2019 in the French Riviera?!).

Ashley weilds a lot of power, so may she count on Super Liu Wen too!

So she's indeed back to NYC (perhaps phone calls were ringing, haha)! That was quick. Was in Beijing doing an event after PFW.





Think she'll have a new campaign for Vidal Sassoon too.

Not sure how these things are planned, but hopefully she attends the Met Gala this year too. Is it wrong to assume she'll be part of Chanel's guest?

Believe that was done when Liu Wen was with Estee Lauder. So... since she's no longer w/ EL, does that mean Chanel will be her gateway to the party?

Or, will she be invited by other players and brands. Who will she be wearing and represent? Who has her back.

Those who make the cut and receive an invite to the gala still need to pony up the cash. It’s a pay-to-play event — unless, of course, you’re a celebrity who is invited as a guest of a designer or corporate sponsor.

Everyone who buys a table still needs to submit their guest list to Wintour for approval. She also oversees which big-name celebs sit at which table, as well as suggests, ever so gently, which actors and models attend as each designer’s guests, like Lily Collins and Brit Marling for Valentino at the 2012 gala. (The designers then dress “their” celebs for the event.)

While Chanel Beauty isn't equatable to Estee Lauder, as a "corporate sponsor" but perhaps, Liu Wen will still be Chanel's guest as she's one of their most known ambassador when it comes to public figures and in fashion. Beside she's got more weight and credibility to be so than not.



Unless. Possible she'd be a guest for Alexander McQueen...? and wear McQueen the third time.
