Loewe Menswear S/S 2024 Paris

Great collection, so many wearable, beautiful pieces !

JWA is, imho, one of the handful of designers who are really up-to-date (I think even Karl mentioned that he likes JWA because he is constantly "present" and understands his times). He is challenging himself, sometimes with better or worse result but he is not complacent like most of the designers nowadays: Kim, Raf etc.

Wish my short *** would be able to pull off those high waisted jeans/trousers. Everything is chef’s kiss! Wish there were some shorts thrown in there for variation.

Thank God a designer that hasn’t put any tiny pair of shorts this season. Bravo JW! I find myself in a high waisted moment so I’m all for it!

Thanks for the vid! :mohawk:

I already see a few pieces that I’d like to own. For example that notched square collared-cardigan (look 20) would fit right into my winter uniform of grey and navy. I oohed when I saw it. I also liked the olive trousers before that. But all in all, a beautiful collection - even the more experimental pieces didn’t bother me this time.

Quite a surprising number of (heavy) knits in a few of these collections though. Which begs the question: Are designers even designing for seasons anymore? Then again, maybe they’re taking into consideration extreme climate differences across the world.

Last night I spent a good hour on TT watching showgoers visibly uncomfortable and :hot: in various forms of knitwear and outerwear while attending the Paris shows. Times are hot here. Even the humidity in spring would make some of these pieces impractical. :loveletter:

This is the first Loewe collection I didn't like (lol). I have been rooting for the brand since it relaunched, but I see no point of entry here to care about anything on the runway, let alone wear it (let alone purchase it!).

"Shiny like water" isn't much of a theme, I guess the sparkly pieces are nice, if that's your thing.

The proportions are unremitting in their ugliness: even super-slender models look horrible in 20-inch rise jeans, and without wanting to get too specific you can literally see as they walk by that the construction of the pants is not accommodating their anatomy very well. Maybe for women, and the waistband can double as an underwire?

Knits with giant bomber arms -- ugly.

The unneccessary and unasked-for "conceptual" sandwich-board tops pierced by knitting needles are just dumb -- this irks me way more than models in their underwear holding bolts of cloth (at least that was just symbolism -- however superfluous -- that nobody could mistake for an earnest proposition of how to dress or something to buy).

I dunno, I disliked it from start to finish. I'd much rather see a runway show consisting of Eye/Loewe/Nature pieces or a new Studio Ghibli collab.

Very great collection!
I don’t know if I want to see men in very high wasted pants (the ambassadors looks terrible in Loewe…maybe because they lacks style) but once re-sized and worn by really stylish people, this whole collection would look great.
Great to look at, interesting to imagine once worn, commercial enough!

Tbh, I see a lot of things to wear myself. Thankfully their prices are not insane so I can’t wait to own either a sequined piece of knitwear or one of those pants!
Bravo Jonathan!

Great collection aside, I really admire JWA or whoever picks the guests for these shows because they are all attractive lol

Excellent collection! The knits and outerwear were particularly strong. There was a very strong English feeling to it. I loved it. I'm sure some of the more difficult fits and silhouettes will be adjusted for the stores.

On a different note, I really hope they don't plaster the Loewe anagram on the clothes when they arrive in store. They are good enough to stand on their own, without the unnecessary branding.

A very commercial collection but with interesting craftsmanship details. And top up with great styling. Bravo to Jonathan & Bruno.

I'm obsessed with knitwear and outerwear. Look 21 & 36 are just screaming my name. So many great individual pieces to buy.
The bags are great and the shoes are also good.

This is easily my favorite collection of the season.

Artyfarty Twink-Party or Still Waters run deep?
Can't decide yet. Must see and feel this clothes IRL.
